The ending. You may have defeated the final boss and gotten the happy ending that was deserved, but considering it comes at the price of leaving Rubius and Irmis locked with the Beast for eternity, you have to wonder if it was worth it. Also, Rubius' speech at that moment and everybody's hesitation is just heart-touching.
