    Episode 1: The Indigo Warrior
  • BOARD being destroyed in mere minutes of the swarm of locusts associated with the Locust Undead.
  • Tachibana's (alleged) betrayal. Kenzaki looked up to him for a very huge while and hearing about him betraying BOARD from Shiori bewildered him to quite a huge deal. Then Kenzaki sees him from a wall, watching him fight the Locust Undead. Then comes Kenzaki calling him out for the supposed betrayal.
    Episode 2: The Mysterious Rider

  • Shiori and Kotaro seeing what's supposedly Karasuma's body in stasis before it burns. Shiori tries to retrieve him as Kotaro holds her back.
    Episode 8: The Revived People
  • Due to Isaka ordering a couple of his men to place a bomb on the Jacaranda Cafe, with the possibility that Amane and Haruka would've perished in the explosion, Hajime leaves a goodbye letter to them, distancing himself from them so they don't get endangered because of him.
    Episode 9: A Fighter's Destiny
  • Sayoko being bewildered of Tachibana's condition.
Episode 11: The Whereabouts Of Each
  • This episode revealing that Jin had a huge falling out with his father.
    Episode 12: Category Ace
  • Amane desperately searching for Hajime.
  • Hajime saving a mother and daughter from the Shell Undead. The mother's response: calling him a monster while he's transformed as she takes her daughter and scurries.
  • Upon Jin realizing that Hajime really wasn't human, he aggresively severed his ties with him and yelled at him to leave his life. Not helped by the fact that his boat was burned because of the fight. After all the bonding these two had, it's rather heartwrenching to see it end because of Hajime's origins.
    • Also not helped by the fact that his father was around and asked Jin to come back home with him. Jin depressingly walks from him.
    Episode 14: Ace Sealed!
  • Isaka murdering Sayoko for continuing to help Tachibana with his condition. As Tachibana later finds her as she is slowly dying, the two bid farewell as Sayoko dies in his arms.
    Episode 15: Fate's Conformer
  • After being told by Kenzaki that him being around them keeps them safe from Undeads, Hajime goes back to the Jacaranda Cafe while it's raining, where Amane hugs him for returning.
  • Tachibana becoming The Atoner after realizing the Sayoko got murdered by Isaka because of him.
    • Tachibana shouting Sayoko's name right before finally finishing Isaka.
    • At the end of the episode, Tachibana watches out at the ocean, knowing that he finally avenged Sayoko.
    Episode 16: Leangle's Power
  • Due to the events of the last few episodes, Tachibana returns the Garren Buckle to Karasuma because he feels that he has no right to be a Rider.
Episode 18: Spirits That Manipulate Darkness
  • Nozomi being bewildered by Mutsuki's condition.
Episode 19: One Who Conquers Darkness
  • Tachibana reluctantly becoming Garren again in order to stop Kiryu.
  • Even after all that he did, Kiryu ends up being with Kenzaki and Tachibana towards his final moments. As Kiryu dies, Tachibana softly mourns his passing.
Episode 20: The Target Is Kotaro
  • Kotaro demanding answers from Hajime as the latter is distraught by Kiryu patronizing him as weak. Amane then angrily screams at Kotaro to leave the room as she comes to her friend's aid. Honestly, it not too hard to feel bad for both perspectives as Kotaro just wanted to be useful and Amane caring about Hajime.
Episode 21: Battles That Feel For Friends
  • Tachibana offering to train Mutsuki so he doesn't end up like he was.
  • One would think that meeting Miyuki would be a huge Hope Spot for Kotaro after all that he's been through with feeling that he useless and regarding Hajime... As Yazawa confirmed, Miyuki is also an Undead and the look on Kotaro's face after she reveals her true colors to him shows how hurt he is.
    • The Sadistic Choice presented to Kenzaki: Either drop his Blay Buckle or Kotaro gets strangled. Kenzaki reluctantly agrees, only for Yazawa to start beating him up and Miyuki still deciding to kill Kotaro anyways, and would've succeeded had it not been for Hajime.
    • After Kenzaki seals Yazawa, Kotaro comes to Kenzaki and starts sobbing on why he has to be involved in the huge battle they're facing as Hajime watches from afar.
Episode 22: The Escape From Darkness
  • While it's Played for Laughs, Kotaro is still distraught from Miyuki's betrayal, breaking down even more after Hajime gets brought up.
  • Mutsuki's backstory.
    Episode 24: Mysterious Hunters
  • Hearing from Kenzaki and Tachibana that the former wants to believe in Hajime causes Kotaro to wince.
  • Kenzaki and Tachibana seeing the rest of the Undead Hunters murdered.
    Episode 25: A Traitor's Sprint
  • As Shiori confirmed in the Undead Searcher of three Undeads in nearby vicinity, one being Miyuki, Kotaro decides to go out to prove his usefulness. Shiori goes against this, but Kotaro storms out anyways.
  • Kenzaki and Tachibana's reactions from Shinmei mocking them for believing that they could restore BOARD.
  • Kotaro noticing Miyuki unconscious and, instead of contacting Hajime, comes to her aid and taking her in his vehicle to hospitalize her.
    • Kotaro getting depressed after Miyuki questions on why he saved her, responding with an indecisive notion as he lies his head on the steering wheel.
    • After Miyuki's failed attempt of murdering him while he was upset, Kotaro reluctantly tells her she can go now. As Miyuki questions him further, they notice Hajime coming right at their vicinity. This prompts Miyuki to strangle Kotaro to unconsciousness as she fights Hajime.
    • In the end, Kotaro becomes upset with Miyuki getting sealed by Hajime. Hajime then questions Kotaro on why he saved her. Kotaro responds that he just wanted to be useful and hoped Miyuki would change, then declaring to Hajime that even though Kenzaki and the Kuriharas trust him, he doesn't. Hajime then has a blank expression in response.
    Episode 27: The Trembling Heart...
  • Shima inconspicuously leaving the gang behind at night so he can fight Mutsuki and get himself sealed by him in order to balance out Spider's corruption.
    Episode 28: A Dangerous Gamble!?
  • Shiori pulling a What the Hell, Hero? on Shima.
  • Shima attempting to use Nozomi's feelings for Mutsuki to get the Rider to his senses.
  • Shima getting sealed. He was the first Royal Club the heroes befriended and seeing him intentionally getting sealed caused the heroes to be upset. That and Mutsuki walks out of the area, presumably becoming even worse.
    Episode 34: Category King
    Episode 35: A Dangerous Transformation!?
  • Umi revealing to Kenzaki that her parents died in an accident.
    Episode 36: Strongest Form
  • Amane struggling to find Hajime, despite the latter still struggling to control himself.
  • Amane going blind as Hajime is reverted into the Joker and starts snarling at her.
Episode 37: Towards A New Destiny
  • Kenzaki struggling his best to save Hajime, even if it meant giving Mutsuki his Rouse Absorber.
Episode 38: One Who Takes Hold Of Destiny
  • Amane and Hajime reuniting even as the girl was still blind.
  • Tachibana's reaction to Trial B's true colors.
  • Hajime and Tachibana saving Kenzaki from going berserk.
  • Trial B's reaction from learning his true nature from Tennoji.
Episode 39: Reunion... Father & Daughter
  • The flashback to how Shiori's mother died.
Episode 40: Parting With The Past
  • Trial B's death. Even after all that he did, his true purpose was to ensure Shiori's safety. Shiori's then mourns him after the battle.
    Episode 42: Leangle Revived
  • Hikaru becoming upset that the modern Battle Fight was fake and solely for Tennoji's purposes. This caused her to nearly kill Nozomi, only to be stopped by Tachibana.
  • Nozomi becoming distraught from Mutsuki going berserk.
  • Hikaru willingly getting herself sealed by Mutsuki so he can be free from Spider's control. After finally managing to properly seal Spider, Mutsuki starts sobbing after lamenting that he wished to be stronger, with Nozomi consoling him and the others staring solemnly at him.
    • Honestly, had it not been for Isaka, not only would Mutsuki not have been corrupted, but the heroes would've had two Undead allies that they can coexist with and probably wouldn't even need to seal at all, thus preventing Hajime as the Joker from winning the Battle Fight that may result in planetary destruction and his farewell to his loved ones.
    Episode 46: The Ruler's Seal
  • Even after trying to reach him, Kanai repays Mutsuki and the others by not only slitting Tennoji's forehead but also nearly doing the same to the lad after revealing his definition of peace.
    Episode 47: Garren Eliminated
  • Turns out the snowy fight between Hajime and Kanai resulted in Mr. Kurihara dying from the impacts, but not before telling the Rider to look after his family in his stead.
  • Tachibana being unable to seal Hajime after hearing Amane's call to him.
  • Tachibana's Disney Death as he and Kanai dive off a cliff into the ocean.
    • Despite his actions, Kanai became distraught with the fact that the Joker might destroy their world.
    Episode 48: Prologue To Destruction
  • Hajime begging either Kenzaki or Mutsuki to finish him so Earth doesn't become destroyed.
  • Hajime as the Joker preventing the Darkroachi from maiming Amane.
    Episode 49: The Eternal Trump
  • The series' ending? Kenzaki sacrifices his humanity in order to save Hajime, and separates himself from his friend in order to not fight him. He can never see any of his loved ones again due to the sheer possibility that he and Hajime will come in contact again. The most tragic ending for a main Rider so far, even if he did accomplish his goal of saving the world.
    • It gets worse if you take the crossovers as canon to the Blade universe, in which Kenzaki comes back in Kamen Rider Decade as a completely different person, and not in the good way. Though his later appearance during the events of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid is apparently better.
    • Even worse is the novel continuation, where Kazuma has been Walking the Earth for 300 years and has become a Death Seeker because of all he's had to give up. Even worse, he can't die at all, since if he were to die Hajime would be unsealed. Thankfully, this novel isn't canon.
    • Though thankfully the novel is Non-Canon and Kenzaki is still the same cheerful and friendly person in a Post Series Drama CD.
    • Kamen Rider Zi-O however, actually gives the two a happier ending in the Blade tribute episodes. After Amane was unwillingly turned into an Evil Counterpart of Blade (Don't ask how or why, it's a long story), she absorbs the Joker Undead powers of Kenzaki and Hajime and began the world's destruction. Luckily, Zi-O Trinity defeats her and the Joker Undead powers were sealed into Ridewatches (again, long story). Without the Joker Undead powers, Kenzaki and Hajime were turned into humans, thus ending the Battle Fight, and allowing the two to move on with their lives.
  • Shiori and Kotaro becoming upset at the decision Kenzaki made while Tachibana just looks at the photo of the time they all had. Not helped by the fact that that's the last time we ever see of the former two.
