  • Scarlet feeling completely alone and scared after her fight with Chase after the first Red Spades incident. She even flashes back to the 9th Circle of hell and is close to tears when Lightstalker walks up to her and lets her pick her up.
  • Despite having killed her own child, it's difficult to not feel a little bad for Ana. Her parents made her feel worthless, and despite her dreams to go and become a writer, she wasn't strong enough to not give in to their demands to marry someone she barely knew and have a family with him. But when her husband left her her parents told her it was her own fault and refused to help her. Then her son became terminally ill, and feeling she had no other options, killed him.
  • Episode 42 is notorious in the fandom at this point. After Scarlet loses control of her demon and slaughters an alleyway of people, Chase finds her. Even after she stabs him, he refuses to give up on her. He accepts that she will be the one to kill him someday, that she is his judgement, and he's able to bring her back to normal before passing out.
    • Episode 43 treats us to the aftermath of this, which includes Scarlet sobbing her eyes out and begging him not to die.
  • Episode 67... Oh boy. Scarlet willingly going to the Ninth Circle of Hell after Chase apologizes and says that he wouldn't mind being by her side forever just hits you right in the heart.
  • Episode 109: Scarlet betrays one of her earliest childhood friends, outright murdering her, in order to save Brook from the Ninth Circle. The only other option was to get a bunch of innocent people killed while risking everything.
  • Episodes 115 to 117 show us how crippling debt to the Red Spades screwed up Chase's life; his father committed suicide, then his mother committed murder-suicide of her children to keep the Red Spades from selling them into sex slavery / organ harvesting, and Chase barely escaped because Brook, against his usual M.O. as the Red Spades' lieutenant, spared his life.
