- The scene where young Enid and her sisters are having a hard time sleeping after they listen to their parents arguing. Enid decides to think of a bedtime story to calm them down. The next morning, Blyton discovers from her mother that "Her father moved away" which causes her to run inside a closet to calm down.
- The scene where Enid starts to cry after she hears news of her mother's death. Enid tries to fight back tears until she starts breaking down. She then starts crying on the floor while in a fetal position until she starts looking at the ceiling with a blank stare.
- After Enid falls from a step outside, she is seen sitting in bed. Her second husband sadly tells Enid that she lost their child during her pregnancy. After he tells her the child was a boy, he starts breaking down and sadly leaves her bed. Once he's gone, Enid is quietly weeping to herself.
