- During Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure, when in the future, Swiper finds out that because he got put the naughty list and never got off, his older self has become bitter and a real thief. And despite being surrounded by presents, you can tell that why Old Future Swiper looked down was because he had everything except what mattered most: friends to share all of it with.
- And another sad moment comes for when in the same special, near the end, everyone else gets presents, but Swiper doesn't due to not having completely filled Santa's magical Christmas card, which monitored how Swiper was learning the true spirit of the holiday. He looks as if he's about to cry from his reaction.
- Basically, any situation that involves lost children getting separated from their families. Such examples include Baby Blue Bird, Wizzle, Little Star, and Baby Crab.
- Little Star's situation has probably been hit the hardest: a flying comet accidentally knocks her out of the sky, and this traumatizes her so much, she can't stop crying. Fortunately, Dora and Boots manage to cheer her up by singing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" but you REALLY can't help but feel sorry for her...
- But thankfully, the issue is resolved in the end.
