- In Dracula X Chronicles, if you don't save Annette, she gets turned into a Vampire-Succubus and Richter has to kill her."Oh my God, Annette... I'm so sorry I didn't save you. But you know what I do to vampires. What I have to do."
- What's especially jarring about this example is how quickly Richter adopts the mindset that he must kill Annette. There's almost no time for mourning, for guilt, for anything outside of the apology and the statement that he has to kill her. Think about that: He loves this woman and there is nothing he can do but push his grief aside and kill her because it's what he must do to stop any and all vampires.
