Go here for examples from Vinny's Tomodachi Life streams.

  • The site's logo is a Super Mario Bros. 1-Up Mushroom with a stylized V on the front.
  • Vinny once channeled Willy Wonka when banning Tame.
  • To This Very Wiki in the "Donkey Kong Country Corruptions" video. And again when displaying on-stream the Tomodachi Life character sheet.
  • From Vinny during his streams of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds:
    • He ends up playing the "Eric the Half a Bee" song from Monty Python's Flying Circus after getting the Bee Badge, which he ends up liking despite initially being disappointed after buying the golden bee required to get the badge.
    • He comments that Stalblind fights using a Honedge during the boss fight with him. In the following stream, he refers to a fairy as a Clefairy while commenting on how little HP they restore compared to previous games.
    • He refers to the Ku enemies as Ninja Turtles after Link encounters a fairly large group of them in the seventh stream.
  • While discussing the awful name of Hack 2 during a stream of various Super Mario World ROM hacks, Vinny proposes "Mario's Evil Time Gods" as another name. For added effect, he says it in a British accent.
  • Havel the Rock, KY's "pet" from Spelunky, is named after a character from Dark Souls.
  • The streamers really enjoy referencing the Trash Man, a Professional Wrestling character created by Frank Reynolds (Danny DeVito's character) from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, for whatever reason.
  • Jen's username on Twitter and YouTube used to be Um Jammer Jenny.
  • From Vinny during his Super Mario Bros. 3Mix streams:
    • During his second stream, he gave one to its creator, Captain Southbird, after finding out that not only is he a Vinesauce regular, he happens to be "that guy" who made abridged versions of the Vinesauce Tomodachi Life streams.
    • During one stream, he joked that his PAX East-induced hoarseness was actually occurring because he was turning into a bug, comparing the concept to The Metamorphosis. He also discovered that he was somehow able to speak more clearly if he spoke using a Christopher Walken impression.
  • Vinny referring to "massive drugs" during his 2015 Super Mario Bros. X contest led Southbird to respond by covering the screen in his highlight video of that stream with multiple copies of a drugstore sign from the Japanese version of EarthBound (most such signs were changed to say "SHOP" instead of "DRUGS" in the North American version).
  • During Vinny's playthrough of Pokémon Moon, he intended to reference Alolan Persian's resemblance to Garfield by naming his Alolan Meowth after him, but he ended up typing "Garfeilf" instead. Later on, he obtained a Salazzle with the nickname "Bayonetta" and a Trubbish with the nickname "DeVito" (referencing the Trash Man).
  • Vinny has acknowledged that the names of Vinesauce and Vsauce coincidentally resemble each other, noting during a stream of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D that Vsauce and his YouTube channel happened to be registered within months of each other.
  • Vinny compared the area where Yeto is found in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess to the top of Death Peak from Chrono Trigger (he streamed both Twilight Princess HD and Chrono Trigger in early 2016). After getting the cannon leading to the City in the Sky repaired, he made another reference to a 16-bit Square game, this time referencing the cannon travel in Secret of Mana.
  • During a stream of Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Vinny comments that he thinks that Bonkers looks like a member of Gorillaz, adding "if you'll pardon the pun" to what he says because Bonkers is an ape.
  • From Vinny during his Splatoon streams:
    • The owner of the Twitch Plays Pokémon account was in the chat during his first true stream of the game (as opposed to the Global Testfire demo, which was featured in the first two streams on the Full Sauce channel) and he complimented the fact that thousands of people finished a game, jokingly adding that he preferred when a fish beat Street Fighter.
    • When he was participating in the Cats Vs. Dogs Splatfest in the 12th stream, he randomly sang a Splatoon-themed parody of "Come Together" by The Beatles.
  • During GPM's streams of attempted restorations of BS The Legend of Zelda, which try to recreate the voice acting present in the original broadcasts as part of the restoration process, GPM occasionally made references to The Legend Of Zelda C Di Games, particularly YouTube Poops based on them, because they and the BS Zelda games were among the few Zelda games to have extensive voice acting until Breath of the Wild.
  • From Vinny's streams of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild:
    • During the eighth stream, he commented that he had previously entered the Divine Beast Vah Ruta and commented that the phrase "I entered the mechanical elephant" (referring to Vah Ruta) sounds similar to the name of a Marilyn Manson song.
    • During the 13th stream, while in the process of getting to Vah Rudania, he mentioned getting flashbacks of racing up a mountain to fight Wizpig.
    • Vinny referenced "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails during a couple of streams. After getting to the Vah Rudania, he said "I hurt myself today" after he fell off and into the lava and while doing the Master Trial after the release of the first DLC pack he sang a variant in the form of "I japed myself today" using an impression of Trent Reznor's voice and singing style.
    • Vinny often compared the Climbing set of armor to the outfit worn by Serge from Chrono Cross, particularly after dyeing it.
  • In a similar vein, Vinny frequntly says or sings "Hello, darkness, my old friend" when things are going especially badly for him, particularly in Mario Kart 8 streams. He also played the actual song as he committed suicide in Subnautica.
  • Vinny referred to Fifi the dog from The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap as Emperor Gestahl from Final Fantasy VI, referencing how the graphical designers for the latter game unintentionally made Emperor Gestahl's sprite look like a dog, which is something even Square Enix is aware of.
  • Vinny is a fan of Rick and Morty. In addition to many sudden (and brief) Rick impressions, he said that the zipper-faced-looking people in Bubsy Visits The James Turrell Retrospective are secretly Gazorpazorps, and calls the Floaters in Subnautica as "fleebs" (the resemblance is uncanny).
  • Vinny has recently started following up telling the audience "I told you so" by saying, "I TOLD ya, but ya didn't believe me! WHY DIDN'T YOU BELIEVE ME?" in an increasingly exaggerated voice.
