- James says that Alice's outfit looks like a Luke Skywalker cosplay.
- In the second movie, James calls out Terry for receiving fashion tips from Padme in Attack of the Clones.
- In the 9th movie of the franchise, James refers to one of the characters kicking Jason as a "Falcon Kick".
- In Jason X, when the characters show up with odd masks with large googles, James calls them "a bunch of Star Lords".
- During Never Hike Alone James' says that Kevin Hardcore Henrys his way through the woods and also refers to the shovel Kevin advertises a Day Of Defeat-style collapsible shovel.
- The trailer for the recount of Freddy vs. Jason uses a parody of The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny to describe the events of the movie.
- In the recount of Friday the 13th Part III, James makes two references in the scene where one of the biker gang members smashes up the car due to Shelly accidentally crashes into their bikes:"Shelly accidentally Pee-Wees the biker gang's bikes, but Ali still willing to give them (singing) service with a smile!"

- The first Leprechaun Kill Count opens with a reference to the Crichton leprechaun news story. This became Hilarious in Hindsight a year later, as Leprechaun Returns also references the video, which James does not hesitate to bring up in its Kill Count.
- James does a Tommy Wiseau impression ("anything for my princess!") during the count for Leprechaun 2.
- James says that the character Morty, also in the second movie, looks more like a Rick.
- The "Rocky Horror hitman" in the Leprechaun 3.

- James compares the sway Ash deals with deadite Linda (not dismembering her, and instead taking her outside) to the way Fred Flintstone deals with the saber-toothed cat.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre

- In the sequel. When Bubba takes off LG's face, James jokes whether the face is an order from Nic Cage or John Travolta.
- In the 2003 reboot kill count, James peppers in a few Dead by Daylight references; he refers to Leatherface sticking Andy onto a meathook as a sacrifice to the entity, and when Erin tries to escape a building but doesn't find any exits, James jokes that nobody repaired any generators.

- In the same film, when Janet gets her shoelace caught in an escalator, James angrily quotes Brodie's escalator tirade at her. It continues into her premonition death in said escalator, where James says that the escalator "finally gives us the bloodbath that was promised".

- During the scene where Dan and Herbert West are searching the basement for the reanimated cat, James notes how the basement’s only light is swinging around like a character from The Brave Little Toaster.
Candy Man

- When Candyman was talking with Helen in the asylum whilst floating in the air, James said that he was floating like a swan. Then bam, he's gone!
- For the Numbers gag in the second video, he imitates the Disney Channel bumpers where a star from the network draws the channel’s logo.

- Cooties: When Matt Jones' character, a cop, shows up, James notes how he has to say he's a cop. It's in the constitution!
- Santa's Slay: When Santa picks up the valet's hat, James comments "Nice, Santa, free hat!", and then clarifies that he didn't mean "Free Hat McCullough."
- Terrifier: When Art kills the pizza place owner, James describes the face of the dead man as "a watermelon that just got Red Wedding"James: The Clown Academy sends their regards.
- You're Next: When Erin splashes a pot of now-cold water onto Felix during her fight with him and Zee, James makes a pretty funny Pokémon reference in the process.
- Mandy: When Brother Klopek brings out a chainsaw much longer than Red's in the prelude to their chainsaw fight, James notes that Brother Klopek is one Long Long MAAAAAAAAAN!

- When Annie goes to the therapy group, James says she wants to find a way to be a "little miss sunshine".
- He muses that Peter must be staring at a girl's pants since he's jealous, having spent many years in a "naked band".
- Deathgasm: Zoran expresses his dislike of Zakk, stating that he hates him "so much, it's like flames on the side of my head".
- Mortal Kombat 9: "Now we're soarin' and flyin' through Raiden's memories. There's not a game in MK's past that we can't reach."
- Emesis Blue:
- Several Team Fortress 2 web series are shown as visuals when James discusses certain aspects of the game, including Hat Stereotypes and How it FEELS to Play TF2
- At the end of the sponsor segment, the video cuts to the Kill Count set decorated in Doctor Who media, with Zoran dressed up as the Tenth Doctor. While Zoran is talking, supposedly doing a separate kill count on an episode of Doctor Who, James rushes in and stabs Zoran, and before he dies, he whimpers "I don't want to go!"
- Nope: When OJ uses the tube men in the chase scene with Jean Jacket, James refers to them as his "wacky waving inflatable arm-flailing army."
