Shout Out / Nezumi Man

• The first boss fight against Dr. Gyoniku is inside a Dr. Mario gameplay screen.
• The game includes a big reference to Ghosts 'n Goblins. The Special stage plays just like that game! It's titled Gyonikumura, a play on Makaimura which is the Japanese name for the Ghosts 'n Goblins series.
• The face of Abe (yes, the guy from Kuso Miso Technique, better known as the "yaranaika" guy) is crudely scribbled on an enemy in Wave Nezumi's stage.
• Milky Nezumi has glasses suspiciously like they belong to Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
• Also in Milky Nezumi's stage, the tentacle aliens resemble the Mars People from Metal Slug. ^Explanation This is the standard Japanese depiction of Martians, equivalent to The Greys in Western media.
• During the Boss Rush, Butter Nezumi's milk jar is replaced with a green pipe from Super Mario Bros.
