    • Chapter 28 confirms it with GURREN LAGANN: XROS FIVE.

    • Echidna half-quotes GLaDOS in Chapter 39.

      • Davis Motomiya and Imperialdramon appear during the Xros Over, though the changed name and lack of interaction between them and Kiriha indicates that they're not the same person.
      • Confirmed. Daisuke and Vmon are properly introduced again in X0VA-4.
    • Marcus Damon and Agumon become secondary characters as of the Double Chapter update (30 and 31).
    • Joe Kido and Gomamon save the day as Brave Heart plays in the background.
  • To Homestuck and MS Paint Adventures in general:
    • In Magma Zone, Shoutmon urges Taiki to "Do the Windy Thing!"
    • The four Guardians of the Digital World, Hephaestus, Cetus, Echidna, and Typheus, are the Denizens of Dave, Rose, Jade, and John respectively.
      • Following off of this, this whole universe seems to be the result of a modified SBURB game.
    • Taiki first uses Hephaestus' power to create music out of thin air: the song MeGaLoVania, to be exact.
      • The second half of Dust Zone's arc features the above, as well as two other songs (Umbral Ultimatum and Descend) from Homestuck.
      • Infinity Mechanism is used as the opening for Chapter 31.
    • A Pawn-Chessmon goes by "Problem-Chessmon" and "Problem Sleuth." The Red Pickmon is drawn like a certain Ace as well, in one of the author's drawings.
      • Another Pawn-Chessmon is named Terezie. A third is named Kroket, a Stealth Pun the author came up with, stemming from Crocker > Croket > Kroket, in reference to Jane Crocker. Now added to the ranks are Reena, Cabarat, Strider, and Ruefieo, references to the characters Meenah, Karkat, Dirk Strider, and Tavros.
    • What Scarf? You are quite sure there has never been nor never will be any scarf!
    • Two Pucchiemon are named Rose and Jade.
    • The red Monitamon trio of Eridan, Aradia, and Sollux.
    • The randomness that the Falcomon chasing after Problem-Chessmon shouts is from Problem Sleuth.
    • 'Riska' the Dracomon has Eight Eyes like a certain Spider Troll.
    • Anubimon has gone grimdark.
    • Taiki's roll reversal of the King and Queen crowns is lifted from Caliborn's chess game with Calliope.
    • A "Roxy" Is mentioned in one of Sparrowmon's flashbacks.
    • One of DeadlyAxmon's Scythe-hammer form attacks is "Breath Impact."
    • A grandfather clock similar to the one seen in Doc Scratch's apartment triggers Nene's "Rise" moment, to the tune of Clockstopper.
    • An easy to miss one: Tactimon calls Lilithmon his Moirail before leaving to fight Xros Heart in Chapter 29.
    • GLX5 Punches Breakdramon in the snout to establish superiority!
    • Tagiru and Yuu both make sounds from the back of their throats when told some distressing news- this is pointed out in the Liveblog as being a shout out to a Homestuck Fan Fic A Hand In Holding Hands.
    • The entire "Cascade Side B" sequence quotes the original "[S] Cascade" flash a bit more directly when compared to the events happening compared to "Side A."
  • To Generator Rex
    • Hephaestus' creation powers mimic Rex's builds.
      • Now OmegaShoutmon gets in on the act as of Chapter 32

    • Taiki now has two hearts after Regenerating like the Doctor.
  • To Soul Eater
    • DeadlyAxmon acts a lot like a certain pink-haired child, right down to the Catchphrase.
      • DeadlyAxmon's human name puts her clearly the Expy category.
      • One of her Scythe Form Attacks is "Demon Hunter."
    • An obscure one: After Kiriha mentions Coffee beans, A Gaossmon appears with a Mandolin.
  • To Case Closed:
  • To: The Emperor's New Groove:
    • Aradia PAUSES the Story in chapter 36, and opens with "Hi there!" Much like a certain Emperor.
  • To Gunnerkrigg Court:
    • Agumon questions Marcus about whether or not the current dimensions trumps a Cursed Teapot.
      • Coincidentally, the current Page image (at the time of writing this) on Noodle Incident page is from Gunnerkrigg Court.
    • "AIIIEEE! I did not expect this!"
  • To Sherlock Holmes:
    • There's a Sherlock Holmes book in one of Sparrowmon's flashbacks in Chapter 39.
  • To Phineas and Ferb:
  • To Accel World:
    • Cutemon's Chou-Shinka form is simply a Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann colored version of Silver Crow.
    • Silver Crow, Lime Bell, and Black Lotus Expies appear in a chapter of the Hunters arc, chasing down the Dusk Taker expy that's been hunting down kendo students, including the Cyan Pile expy.
  • To Kaze no Stigma:
    • Kiriha and Typheus can throw wind as sharp blades.
  • To Sword Art Online:
    • The second half of Seven Swords shares the opening theme as SAO's first opening.
    • In chapter 57, three show up. Nene sings SAO's second theme during karaoke; KinGRavemon uses Starburst Stream against Breakdramon; and Yuu mentions a dream involving the Floor 75 floor boss fight from SAO as well.
    • Kirito appears fighting The Gleam Eyes during "Cascade Side B," moving this into Crossover territory.
  • To My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and PonyPOVSeries:
    • To the latter: A Pegasusmon could tell whether or not Anubimon was lying just by looking at his body language, and while this doesn't fit the exact 'power' to a T, it's the subtle accent that sells it.
    • The Xros Loaders unite in a color coded rainbow in Chapter 46.
    • Quartzmon is initially revealed as a creature similar in appearance and voice to Discord.
  • To Gravity Falls:
    • Taiki mentions that Breakdramon's creator's motives seem similar to that of the creator the Gobblewonker.
  • To The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim:
    • Shoutmon's using dragon shouts as of his re-appearance in Hunters. The first one he uses is the English meaning of "Fus Ro Dah!"
      • He also uses Whirlwind Sprint in one of the Hunters intermissions.
    • The "Memory Trap" used on Airu is described as similar to the "Soul Trap" spell.
    • Skyrim is mentioned by name in X0VA-3.
  • To Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go:
    • One of Zenjirou's Delta Rare Star Sword attacks is "Whirling Destructo Saw," which is a reference to Otto's attack of the same name.
  • To Nobody Dies:
    • Rei has appeared along side Go-kun to influence the plot to some unknown degree.
      • Though this is less of a Shout-Out and more of a direct Crossover, the author has stated that this version of Rei and Go-Kun are from a branch of the original Nobody Dies timeline. And who knows what that even means.
      • Rei and Go-kun appear briefly at the start of "Cascade Side B" once again, and Rei can be seen later on in the sequence reuniting with her fellow pilots in their home universe.
  • To the Stargate-verse:
    • At the end of Act 3 Intermission 12, Tagiru and Chou prepare to travel back to the future through use of a Stargate.
    • The Watch Maker appears to have invented the Stargate in an alternate universe.
    • Quartzmon's Terminal is not designed to receive incoming Stargate connections- instead only being able to dial out safely. This results in it exploding much like Icarus Base in Stargate Universe.
  • To Adventure Time:
    • FlameWizardmon is noted to be written with Ice King's voice in mind.
  • To Back to the Future:
    • Quartzmon requires 1.21 Gigawatts of power to power his doomsday device.
    • The Watch Maker was known as "Emmit Brown" in an alternate dimension, in obvious reference to the Emmett Brown of Back to The Future. His wife was named Clara Clayton as well, cementing the reference. Then, in X0VA-12, they appear in a DeLoreannote  in a scene pulled off in homage of the first movie's ending.
    • During "Cascade Side B":
      • A future SpaceTrailmon leaps from the Digital World to Earth with a familiar triple explosion and a twin set of fire tracks in the air.
      • A Digital Accelerator can be seen counting up to 88 M.P.H.
    • X0VA-1's conclusion involves a Flying DeLorean and a teenager named Verne arriving to save some wayward time travelers.
  • To Honey, I Shrunk the Kids:
    • In X0VA-1, it is remarked about their situation being similar to an episode of the TV series, specifically the one about the Time Machine sending Amy back into the attic by some years- meeting a resident of the original owners of their house.
  • To Hayate the Combat Butler:
    • Tagiru makes mention of feeling like Hayate with the way his parents always seem to load their troubles (AKA: The Food Bill) on him.
  • To Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger:
    • The Love Love Dance (In the Rewrite) is the Kyoryuger's morph dance continuing on for over a minute. In Sweets Zone, Matadormon does the normal Morph dance for no apparent reason.
    • Spadamon's Xros-Call is "It's gonna get Wild!"
    • X4S's attacks are renamed to "Volta Samba" and "!Vamola! Caaaarrrrnival!"
    • With all these shout outs, it was a given that the Sequel would involve adapting the Kyoryuger series, shifting this into Crossover territory.
  • To Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger:
    • In the Kyoryuger sequel- a Giant Cambeastian yells out "Final Wave!" upon being exploded.
  • To Puella Magimadoka Magica:
    • A brief glimpse into this universe shows that in all of five minutes of a standard baseline timeline, Quartzmon manages to usurp Kyubey's position and throw the timeline into chaos.
  • To Series/Supernatural:
    • The bar that Torin, Dogold, and Beelzebmon start a bar fight with a drunken Quartzmon with is in this universe.
