Digimon can only Digi-Xros with other Digimon, which makes Shoutmon Xrossing Taiki with Dorulumon in Magma Zone quite jarring at first. When it's revealed that Taiki is host to a reincarnated spirit of one of the Digital World's Denizens, Hephaestus, this suddenly makes sense. Taiki, genetically speaking, IS a Digimon and CAN Digi-Xros under the unwritten rules.
And then it hits you around the second intermission. It didn't matter if Taiki was fused with Hephaestus or not! The entire Human World is a synthetic construct!
Quartzmon's Terminal is not designed to receive incoming Stargate connections- instead only being able to dial out safely. This results in it exploding, much like how Icarus Base in Stargate Universe is mentioned has the danger of exploding if someone dialed in.
