Monster is a Netflix Anthology Series based on notorious true crimes from American history, made by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan.
The first season was focused on prolific Serial Killer, Jeffrey Dahmer.
Starring Evan Peters as Dahmer, it aired in September 2022, to record-breaking streaming numbers for Netflix. Though initially intended as a Mini Series, off the strength of the numbers, Monster was greenlit for two subsequent seasons.
The second season, Monsters, will focus on the 1989 killing of José and Mary-Louise (Kitty) Menendez by their sons, Lyle and Erik. The announcement trailer is here. It is set to air in late 2024, having been delayed by the 2023 WGA and SAG strikes. It will star Javier Bardem as José and Chloë Sevigny as Kitty.
