Kroll Show is a Sketch Comedy show by comedian Nick Kroll which ran from January 2013 to March 2015 on Comedy Central. The show is a satire parodying elements of pop culture, mainly Reality TV. Some of the recurring segments on the show include Oh, Hello (which was spun off into a Broadway show) , Dad Academy, Gigolo House, PubLIZity, Rich Dicks, Pawnslyvania, and Wheels, Ontario.
Kroll Show contains examples of:
- Affectionate Parody: Many of the recurring segments. PubLIZity, for example, is a clear parody of shallow celebrity reality shows.
- Jerkass: Bobby Bottleservice.
- Pun: Wheels, Ontario is a town where most teenagers at the high school are in wheelchairs.
- Running Gag: The opening sequence contains parodies of various logos from pop culture that change every episode.
- Spin-Off: Several times during the show, a minor character in one reality show parody gets their own reality show spin-off segment.
- Wholesome Crossdresser: Whenever Nick crossdresses for the PubLIZity sketches.
