Familia é Tudo (Family is Everything) is a Brazilian telenovela produced and released by Rede Globo in 2024. It is notable for being the 100th telenovela to be aired by the network in the 7pm slot. It was written by Daniel Ortiz.

The plot focuses on five half brothers, all sharing the same father, Pedro. The five brothers were separated by their respective mothers after Pedro's death, having had few social and intimate interactions since then. Years later, now adults, the brothers reunite when their millionaire grandmother, Frida, disappears on a cruise and is presumed dead. The brothers discover that to earn their inheritance, they will have to live and work together for a year in an attempt to bring the family business back to its peak. If they don't succeed, the inheritance will go to their cousin, Hans, who is the villain of this story and will do anything to get the money from his aunt.

The five brothers are:

  • Venus (Nathalia Dill), The oldest sister, obviously being the most responsible and competent. She witnessed her father's murder and has a complicated relationship with her ex-boyfriend Tom, as she believes she was betrayed by hiim in the past, but he claims he was the victim of a trap. Tom's jealous ex-wife, Paulina, only makes the situation worse.
  • Jupiter (Thiago Martins), the second oldest brother. A reckless playboy who only thinks about women and money.
  • Andromeda (Ramille), Pedro's third daughter. A spoiled woman who will have her reality check when forced to comply with the clauses of her grandmother's estate, and will have a complicated relationship with the poor but honest Chicao.
  • Electra (Juliana Paiva), Pedro's fourth daughter. She spent several years in prison accused of trying to kill her ex-boyfriend Luca. Now free, she will do everything to prove her innocence and win back his love. The situation is complicated by the fact that Luca is now dating Jessica, Electra's best friend.
  • Plutao (Isacque Lopes), the youngest brother. A responsible man and sports fan, he refuses the family's money.

As can be expected from a Brazilian telenovela, there are half a dozen other storylines. The most notable are: Lupita (Daphne Bozaski), Jupiter's clumsy young secretary, who is in love with him; Guto (Daniel Rangel), the nerdy and virgin intern who is madly in love with Lupita but doesn't have the courage to declare himself to her; and Mila (Ana Hikari), Hans' ambitious secretary who will do anything to force him to marry her.

Família é Tudo provides examples of:

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Downplayed. Lupita is in love with Jupiter, who initially finds her irritating. However, he becomes friends with her over the course of the plot, and Lupita never does anything that makes him uncomfortable.
  • Abusive Parents: Tom's mother has always had a dislike for Venus and does everything she can to separate the couple.
  • Almost Kiss: It almost happens on one occasion when Guto compliments Lupita's appearance, but Mila immediately puts an end to any chance of that happening when she interrupts the two and tells Guto to get back to work.
  • And Now You Must Marry Me: Played with. Mila tries to force Hans to marry her... otherwise, she will reveal to everyone that he was responsible for a trap to try to put Electra back in jail. So Hans is definitely not an innocent victim in this story.
  • Anti-Villain: Mila is not an evil person, being able to do good things for people like Guto. She's just too ambitious, and that makes her do bad things to get what she wants.
  • Betty and Veronica: The love triangle between Lupita, Guto and Jupiter. Guto is Betty, a friendly, shy man who is not as attractive as Jupiter while Jupiter is Veronica, a playboy with a flashy and arrogant personality.
  • The Brainless Beauty: Averted. Mila initially seems to fit this trope, as she gained the job as Hans's secretary just by having a secret relationship with him, as well as a recurring joke involving the fact that she always forgets which country Lupit is from (Guatemala). But it soon becomes clear that she is quite intelligent and cunning, even manipulating and blackmailing Hans.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Guto and Lupita are eccentric, to say the least, but they are also quite competent, which justifies them keeping their respective jobs.
  • Butt-Monkey: Guto. His entire existence in this soap opera is endless suffering. To summarize the main points: he is a shy young man in his 20s who suffers at the hand of his supervisor at work; he is in love with Lupita, a woman who sees him only as a friend and who is in love with another, richer man; he doesn't have the courage to declare himself to her; a series of unfortunate incidents make Lupita believe he is a pervert; and this same series of unfortunate incidents causes three other older women (one of them being his boss) to sexually harass him.
  • The Cameo: Flávia Alessandra in a dream sequence.
  • Daydream Surprise: Lupita often fantasizes romantic situations with Jupiter, and the viewer only discovers that it was her imagination when someone tries to talk to her.
  • Gold Digger: Elisa, Jupiter's girlfriend, lies that she is pregnant to marry him and thus keep his money. The reason she does this is because her family recently became bankrupt.
