This isn't the brady bunch, it's the Bad Girls Club!

Bad Girls Club is a Reality Tv show that's known for it's outrageous behavior, brutal violence, and all around debauchery that ran from the mid-late aughts all the way into the late 2010s. The show's peak viewership was around the early 2010s, but a mountain of controversy, lawsuits, and poor treatment of the contestants turned viewers away.

The show's premise is simple. Seven self-proclaimed "Bad Girls" with a host of behavioral and psychological issues move into a mansion for three months, and chaos ensues. If one of the Bad Girls gets removed, or leaves on their own, then a replacement Bad Girl is sent into the mansion.

Tropes associated with Bad Girls Club are:

  • Black-and-Grey Morality: On a show entitled Bad Girls Club, you can't really be surprised when even the fan favorites exude questionable morality at best, and the victims are usually Asshole Victims
  • Continuity Nod: Both the girls and the show itself references seasons from before all the time. In season 16, the wall in the makeup room was covered in the names of past Bad Girls.
  • Crapsaccharine World: Being sent to live in a luxurious mansion with Scenery Porn everywhere you look seems like a great deal...until you realize you're living with six other women with behavioral issues who will all but jump you and throw your belongings in the pool if you even breathe wrong. Downplayed because the contestants have the option to leave whenever they want to if things get too taxing.
  • Determinator: Any girl who got relentlessly bullied and decided to stick through it.
    • Elease from season 8 was jumped by the entire house, pushed into the pool, had her belongings and mattress thrown into the pool, and was constantly mocked from the moment she stepped foot into the house, and she stayed until the end.
    • Rima from season 9 was given a similar treatment. Although she was never jumped, she was still harassed 24/7 by the entire house, made to sleep outside, woken up with pots and pans whenever she slept, had her makeup destroyed, and was even told to kill herself, and she outlasted the majority of the people who were involved with her treatment.
    • Rocky from season 10 was treated coldly as soon as she entered the house as well, but she didn't start getting bullied until she earned the wrath of Jenn, who pushed a plate of hot food into her face, poured beer and spaghetti over her head, pulled her hair, and even tried to pull her top off in front of the other girls. Jenn would fight Rocky every chance she got, and yet, Rocky stuck through it all.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: The first two seasons were focused on young women coming to the house to better themselves and change their "Bad Girl" ways. They were given jobs, which the refusal to do so would result in the girl being removed. Additionally, fighting was not allowed and would result in the girl who started the altercation being given the boot. Fast forward seasons later, where fighting was not only allowed, but encouraged and for some, the only reason to watch the show.
  • Ms. Fanservice: The participants of the show are attractive young women in their 20s, and they're often seen in their underwear, in swimwear, or sometimes not wearing anything at all.
  • No Indoor Voice: It's rare that seaosn 12's Loren isn't yelling at the top of her lungs.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: Bad Girls can be sent home by the producers by a litany of reasons, but the more common reasons are related to fighting. Jumping in a fight (after season 12), causing too much damage, kicking someone in the face, or hitting too hard. They can also choose to go home, or be evicted by the other girls.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: About half of the cast of season 12. Alyssa went by "Redd", Alex went by "Slim", Brittany went by "Britt", Jonica went by "Blu", and Loren went by "Lo"
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted in season 3, where there was Amber M and Amber B.
  • Reality Show Genre Blindness: Applies to a lot of the so called "classy" girls, who seem to forget the premise of the show they're on.
  • Politically Incorrect Hero: Shannon from season 10 was given a sympathetic edit and was considered a fan favorite even after she called Valentina (an African woman) "Kunta Kinte".
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: A lot of girls leave too early or come in the house too late to really make an impression. One standout is Tess, who stayed in the house for all of 12 hours before calling it quits.
  • Woken Up at an Ungodly Hour: An episode in season 2 featured Tanisha Thomas waking up the rest of the girls in the house by Banging Pots and Pans together before six in the morning, yelling for everyone to get up and ranting about the girls not allowing her to sleep and her repaying the favor. While that was partially the reason, Tanisha's outburst was also due to the large mess the other girls left that night. The girls ask what Tanisha's problem is, with one even threatening to call the police.
Tanisha: I DIDN'T GET NO FUCKING SLEEP 'CAUSE OF Y'ALL! Y'ALL NOT GONNA SLEEP 'CAUSE OF ME!
