Now that I can understand your language, hand me back those— hey, you don't look like those pesky Bad Piggies, that's a relief. (But I still don't trust you that much). I am Red J. Bird, just call me Red for short. I live on Piggy Island with my flock, and our duty is to take care of these three precious eggs from the hands (or lack thereof) of the Bad Piggies, whose goal is to feed their greedy overlord King Pig. Not only is that sickening to us birds, but also stupid. These swine build towers, structures, and fortresses with glass, wood, stone, and TNT (if they could get any stupider). Luckily for us birds, our main line of defense is our slingshot, which we use to Catapult to Glory — to save our eggs and defeat those pigs. I've fought the pigs through thick and thin, from a fantasy adventure within our island to the vast expanses of space, in a galaxy far, far away! Talk about determination.
Now there are these two movies that portray my life in a different light. For starters, all of us birds and pigs have limbs, and we birds live in a village in Bird Island. I was The Cynic who belived that the birds in my islands are always happy. When those pigs invaded our island, and me leading the birds, I succesfully managed to save them and finally get the praise I deserve. I'll have to admit, we even had an "alliance" with the pigs to stop Mighty Eagle's ex from destroying our islands with ice balls.

Tropes that ruffle my feathers:
- Adaptational Angst Upgrade: In The Angry Birds Movie, you'll see what I was like before those pigs arrived — I was one of the few birds in a peaceful island community who had a Hair-Trigger Temper, and the other birds (except for some) left me alone for it.
- Adaptational Jerkass: I'm always (well, mostly) the same ol' grumpy bird, but in the movies, I'm a miserable loner who doesn't like to stick around with the other birds.
- Adapted Out: I still care about the eggs, but I'm not their active guardian in the other adaptations such as in the movies.
- Ax-Crazy: THOSE EGGS ARE OURS!!
- Big Ol' Eyebrows: That's why they call me the Angry Bird. I was bullied as a hatchling for this.
- Black Sheep: It makes me angry being the only angry bird in a world full of happy birds.
- Catapult to Glory: How can I ever thank the slingshot for aiding us birds in unleashing our fury?
- Colour-Coded Emotions: My feathers are a bright red, which matches my fury if anyone tries to steal the eggs.
- A Day in the Limelight: I remember the time I got Mighty Eagle's feathers, which made me dash towards any point while in the air.
- Deadpan Snarker: You really think so, huh?
- Destructive Saviour: Well, the pigs deserve getting hurt, it's not their eggs after all.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Try to steal, heck even touch the eggs, and I will give you something you'll never forget! I am not kidding.
- Empowered Badass Normal: I am grateful for the time Mighty Eagle gave me those feathers - it was the time I felt the most powerful!
- Evil Doppelgänger: Sword Spirit, one of the bosses I've encountered in my life, looks identical to me.
- Fiery Redhead: I'm a red bird with an even redder personality.
- Good Is Not Nice: As long as you're not a Bad Piggy, we're cool.
- Good Is Not Soft: I am the most violent and the most protective bird of them all, though you can see my good side when I protect those who I love.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: GET LOST, PIG! breathes heavily I thought there was a pig nearby, how I hate those things!
- Hero Protagonist: I am the leader of my flock, and I will do everything for the eggs!
- Holler Button: AAAAAAAA-hungiiahh!!!
- Hot-Blooded: I'm a really passionate bird with intense emotions.
- Invisible Anatomy: We don't got legs or wings as other birds in the world do, but it doesn't really matter much as things we pick up teleport to where our "wings" should be. Unless you count the movies.
- Jerkass Has a Point: I am not angry just because I am! I am angry because I have eggs to protect!
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: My anger is for a good cause, to protect our eggs from any harm. I also care about my flock members and will stand up for them when they get in trouble.
- The Leader: I lead my flock in the battle against the pigs, and I come up with the strategies on how to attack the pigs the best.
- A Lizard Named "Liz": Thanks a lot, Captain Obvious.
- Master of None: Sure I may be the leader, but I don't have the fancy powers my flock has like Chuck or Bomb or Matilda. Well, there was the time I got Mighty Eagle's feathers, stated above. I also gained the ability to SCREAM AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS to knock down structures!
- Meaningful Name: You are testing my patience once again, aren't you?
- Papa Wolf: Those eggs, our EGGS, they are the reason why I live! It's almost like I'm their protective father (I am not really sure who laid those eggs in the first place). While the others would rather goof off unless the eggs are actually threatened, I dedicate my life to protect those precious eggs!
- The Paranoiac: Please, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF MIGHTY EAGLE, DON'T EVER DARE TOUCHING THE EGGS! YOU MIGHT SCRATCH OR CRACK THEM, AND YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT IF YOU DO!!!
- Perpetual Frowner: It's tough to be happy when the Bad Piggies are constantly out to get you. Yeah I frown most of the time, but not as much as Terence. I wonder what's going on in his mind, really?
- Red Is Heroic: It's right in my name!
- Red Is Violent: Violent is an understatement. Just look what I do to the pigs almost every day!
- Series Mascot: It seems that this group called Rovio sees me as the mascot of this game called Angry Birds. I'm not here for the fame and glory, I am here to guard the eggs! (I am never tired to saying that!)
- Ship Tease: It varies. Some people say me and Stella go along better, others say it's Chuck's sister. Anyways, why matter about being lovebirds when THE EGGS ARE IN CONSTANT DANGER EVERY SECOND?
- The Stoic: I rarely laugh, I rarely cry. I am a REALLY grumpy bird!
- Strong Family Resemblance: Terence is basically a gigantic, silent version of me with faded red feathers. I'm not really sure if he is my brother though.
- Super-Scream: IT CAN EVEN KNOCK DOWN THE PIGS' STRUCTURES! There, now you believe?
- The Unfettered: Not the Bad Piggies' machines, or evil schemes, or fortresses can stop me from getting those eggs off King Pig's filthy snout!
- Toothy Bird: How are you supposed to tell that I'm an angry bird?! (Aside from the eyebrows, of course.)
