- In the mortal world there are two infamous dolls, Annabelle and Robert, each with their own scary stories to tell:
- Robert came from an unknown shop and was gifted to a man named Robert Eugene Otto, who would speak to it and that it would move, haunting the house with its presence and driving Otto more and more insane. Even as the years passed and after Otto's death and being put on display, Robert continues moving, thus proving his curse will never end.
- Annabelle was a raggedy Ann doll who seemed like a normal and perfect doll for a woman named Donna and her mother... Until she began moving on her own and writing messages, though a medium believed the doll was possessed by the spirit of a deceased girl named Annabelle, it soon became clear that the doll was mlicious as it began attacking friends and family of Donna and soon after a pair of occultists made sure to relocate her to the Warren Occult Museum, where she continues growling and moving, waiting for any fool for her to torment and kill.
