Fic Series' Trope Collections

School Days

Ambiguously Christian: All of the main characters are intended to be Christian, though how much they follow it and what denomination they are is never really touched upon. The Fox family are confirmed Catholics however.
AM/FM Characterization: Each character has a specific YouTube Playlist made for them to demonstrate this trope. Even background characters have songs picked out for them.
Chore Character Exploration: Marionette and Jason bond over their love of music and cooking while making gumbo together in Sean's Day Out.
Class Pet: Animdude, the class' pet butterfly who is hatched in Chapter 1.
Ironic Birthday: Jason and Evan's belated 12th birthday. Everyone celebrates it in an attempt to feel better about the previous events but feel of it as a display of Survivor's Guilt.
School of No Studying: Played straight after some time in School Days but crops up on occasion and averted in Holi-Days. Justified in School Day's case (despite the name) as the story itself gradually shifts focus from school to the big mystery.
Gotta Kill Them All: Purple Guy's intentions behind the early urder attempts until he forgoes covering them up via murder for experimentation with Agony.
He Knows Too Much: Purple Guy's beginning reasoning behind the many murder attempts of the kids. Later he decides they're of use to him which kicks off the experimentation saga.
Big Bad: The Purple Guy and his associates.
As Long as There Is One Man: Freddy's assertion to the Purple Guy, vowing that The Animatronics will never end nor cease their endless pursuit of him to bring him down.
Series Goal: The kids' goal is the find the answer to the story's Driving Question.
Stepford Smiler: Almost half of the main cast are this, and gradually all become one.
Revenge: The kids' motivation throughout the story which warps and drives them into madness.
Roaring Rampage of Revenge: After too many murder attempts and too many civilians killed, the kids all engage in this to bring Purple Guy down.
Driving Question: "Who tried to kill us?" After they find out their murderer's identity, the question becomes "How do we keep him dead?"
Meaningful Funeral: Donnie and Sierra's funeral, signifying the first innocent casualties and a turning point in everyone's lives, as well as the story.
Serial Killer: The Purple Guy with a double (or even triple) digits bodycount spanning from the 50s to now.
Happier Home Movie: The parents and kids watch some home films of better times during Thanksgiving to remember Donnie and Sierra's lives.
Steven Ulysses Perhero: A lot of the characters have fic names that allude to their canon names and canon information.

Quirky Town: Salado is a quiet town of 2,800 people, some normal, some not. The Animatronics faction provide the majority of the quirkiness with their eccentric behavior and grand theatrics.Eccentric Townsfolk: Downplayed in that it's only the factions that are truly eccentric and strange. The rest of the townsfolk are mostly normal people. Empaphasis on mostly.

Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Some characters have had their relationships changed slightly such as several characters being siblings and some being in relationships.

Five Funny Nights at Freddy's

Adaptation Name Change: While their canon names are present and used, they also have several nicknames or minor name changes to differentiate them all from each other, or even to add some extra depth. The Nightmares also have "human names": aliases intended to be used around counterparts and other versions of the Five Nights at Freddy's characters.
Golden Freddy is named "Freddybear" instead of "Fredbear" as he is a Decomposite Character.

Ruder and Cruder: A downplayed example in-universe. The Animatronics always acted squeaky clean with a G rating, whereas now they act fairly PG-13. Out of universe, the fic has very mild innuendos (usually for comedy) and translates the Animatronics' slang as being fairly profane.Adaptation Expansion: The fic expands quite a lot on the characters including series' backgrounders.Adaptational Nice Guy: Zigzagged in-story as the animatronics do not possess their wantonly murderous streak nor do they slaughter guards endlessly. However, they also wield makeshift weaponry and have no problem fighting with them or their bare paws.Quirky Town: Salado, TX is a small town with friendly folk, but it also has walking, talking, sentient animatronics that freely interact with people and who are their own group of peculiar individuals.

Mega Monster High

Accent Adaptation: Several characters are given more location-appropriate accents such as Abbey having a Tibetan accent instead of her Russian one.
Actionized Adaptation: It's slight but there is more action in the series as evidenced by the prolog featuring the Ever After High students quite literally running for their lives.
Adaptational Achilles Heel: Alongside the new/changed powers, appropriate weaknesses are given to the characters.
Adaptational Backstory Change: Several characters are given new backstories to tie them to existing stories rather than being general monsters disconnected from any media. Vandala, Kala, Dayna and Lucas Makosquid are now part of Pirates of the Caribbean instead of being separate entities altogether.
Adaptational Hairstyle Change: Characters often have their hairstyles redone. In real life, this is due to the author playing and styling their hair over the years.
Adaptational Location Change: Minor but Monster High goes from being a regular high school to a boarding school academy instead.
Adaptational Superpower Change: To fit their new backstories, most characters receive new powers or have their pre-existing ones changed.
Adaptation Amalgamation: The fic mixes Monster High with Ever After High with My Little Pony: Equestria Girls and even Sailor Moon at one point. It also carries over some bits from G2 and G3.
Adaptation Deviation: The fic deviates from the source material in some places, most notable in the edited backstories of characters.
Adaptation Dye-Job: Some characters have received hair color changes, mostly to be either more doll-accurate or to fit their backstories.
Adaptation Inspiration: The fic is the same premise of the children of monsters attending school but takes it in a more Fantasy Kitchen Sink with slight angst and darkness to its slice of life aspects.
Adaptation Origin Connection: Several characters have been given connections to others thanks to their edited backstories and relationships. note In canon, Draculaura was the daughter of a completely different Dracula (the Count was an impostor) while here she really is the daughter of Count Dracula from Bram Stooker's book.
Adaptation Personality Change: They're mild and small but many characters have had small additions or removals of their personality traits such as Duchess undergoing Adaptational Heroism and Apple White (seen in flashbacks) having been hit with Adaptational Villainy.
Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Quite a few characters have had their relationships overhauled or even removed in some cases.
Adaptation Name Change: Most of the characters have been given different names though all keep their original name in some form whether through translation or shifting to a different position i.e. surname becomes middle name.
Adaptation Species Change: Some characters have had their species changed though these are mild and hardly noticeable.
Age Lift: A few characters have had their ages lifted to 18. Any characters with vague ages such as C.A. Cupid or Gigi Grant have been given concrete ages that quite possibly are older than their canon ones. note
Crossover: The fic crosses over with Ever After High, My Little Pony: Equestria Girls and even Sailor Moon at one point.
Darker and Edgier: It's slight but dialog and backstories are tweaked to be slightly darker while the fic proper touches on themes of angst and depression, death and more.
Race Lift: Characters with vague ethnicities are given set and concrete ones which sometimes differ from canon.
Related in the Adaptation: Bonita Femur and Luna Motthews are half-sisters here while in canon they are completely unrelated.
