Running Gag / Fanfic Theater 3015

Each riffer tends to bring their own if they participate enough. They include:

General

• If someone points out a particular Plot Hole, usually a response of "Shhhhhhhhhh..." is soon to follow.
• "X is/are a myth. Confirmed."
• Fluttershy being associated with drugs.
  • Twilight's moonshine addiction.
    • Princess Celestia's paint addiction.
• "Shut the fuck up, Rhymey!"
• "Arise, Mobile Fortress Scarlet!"
• Crazy56U wanting to riff "Sister Dash".
• JofY falling/tripping during a moment that doesn't make sense.
• JofY appearing on the other side of portals to hellish dimensions.
• "I will totally fail you now!"
• "Why? Because we like you!"
• "Why did Pushing Daisies get cancelled?" and variants thereof.
• "I WAS JOKING!"
• "Sucker's bet" for when a Side Bet is so obviously skewed to a definitive outcome, you'd have to be a sucker to bet against it.
• Characters remarking that "[they] have a pie in the oven".
• Crazy56U's tape recorder, used to repeat earlier riffs.
• ThatUnknownPony making snarky remarks against Starlight Glimmer, only for Crazy56U to reply "Shush".
• Keep it down, we're in a church.
• Upon making a particularly vile pun or crude joke, CaptainPipsqueak often follows with "I'm not apologizing."
• Whenever Rainbow's face is mentioned, a picture of her Applejack impression usually follows.
• "Yes."
• "...in the middle of the fucking Everfree."
• "(points in a nonspecific direction)"
• Ever since "Moonlight, Moonlight, Let my Fangs Gleem Tonight", Spike keeps winding up dead.
• "The role of X will be played by Y."
  • "We interrupt X to bring you Y!"

• "Seriously?! You can't be serious!"
• JofY using Mystery Science Theater 3000 clips, such as:
  • "We hope you've enjoyed No Moral Theater!"

• "LIES!", usually followed by "Shut up."

• The idea of eternal night being deconstructed by mentioning that "we would all freeze to death and die".
• Large blank gaps in any given doc usually result in Crazy56U responding in kind: "RIIIIIIICOLAAAAAAAAAAA!"
• Other riffers (most notably Crazy56U) pissing off Mono by mentioning the Mystery Science Theater 3000 revival.^note  Mono lives in The Netherlands, a country in which the ''Mystery Science Theater 3000'' revival isn't available on Netflix
• Whenever a flash is mentioned: "BARRY, NO!"
• "You dug this hole, you will sit in it."
• "...line?"
• "You get a X! You get a X! Everybody gets a X!"
• Playing Untitled whenever a character is being particuarlly angsty.
• Other riffers being reminded that "we don't get nice things here".
• More often than not, an instance of someone in a fic knocking on a door is twisted into a "Jaws II: Land Shark" bit.
  • Or some of the relevant lines from "Albuquerque."
• "And then the murders began."
• Having the fic abruptly end.
• "You are the reason we have laws."
• (nods like he understands the reference, but in reality doesn't)
• "-and two-colored tight-fitting pants", used at overly long descriptions of clothing.
• After a long list of characters: "And starring Jerry Mathers as the Beaver!"
  • "Also starring, Don Knotts."
• Any mention of characters opening a door and/or falling to the floor is met with a reference to "Walk the Dinosaur".
• Whenever a specific time is mentioned in a fic, riffers will often counter by stating the actual time^note this, of course, factors in time zones and the time that they are adding the line.
• Screaming at someone to stop screaming.
• Mono shitting on the "Sonic Apple Bloom" joke.
• "Pointing out your problems does not make them go away."
• Whenever Derpy appears and/or is given a different name, there will inevitably be a mentioning of not making Ring mad.
• Whenever someone is about to make a certain refere-(C&Ded by X)^note Frequent sources are Apple Records and Ring
  • Whenever it's "(C&Ded by Apple Records)", despite not being the one to reference The Beatles (usually), Crazy56U will be the recipient.
• FUCK YOU AND YOUR MEMES!
• "(in a conga beat) Let's re-do the pi-lot! Let's re-do the pi-lot!"
• Crazy56U making up an episode concept, then stating it was a Very Special Episode, "don'tcha know?"
• Any mention/variation of the phrase "so-called Bronies" will be amended to include "fuckers".
• Sunset Shimmer is the moral victor.
• Ring caters to the colorblind.
• "X X, X. X? X!" whenever a word/phrase is used excessively.
• "Riveting", whenever the fic wastes time describing irrelevant details.
• (GIF of someone throwing a beer bottle at Scott)
• "X MAD! X SMASH!"
• "Atlas shrugged. And the dish ran away with the spoon."

Riff-Specific

• In "The Enemy of My Enemy", every instance of Chrysalis bringing up Celestia's "fat ass" (itself a Running Gag) prompted Crazy56U to quote "Fat Bottom Girls".
• In "Moonlight, Moonlight, Let my Fangs Gleem Tonight", bringing up that Twilight likes shitting on Rarity's hopes and dreams.
• During Part 1 of "The Siren Cronicles", every instance of "Chapter #" led to the riffers (mostly Crazy56U) pouting out the names of movie sequels.
  • When he started spouting James Bond sequel names, Mononeko spouted the artists of the theme songs.
• SC276 insisting that Princess Celestia in "Past Sins Original Edit" is an undercover Sir Grodus trying to prevent anyone from making the making the same mistake he did because she summoned lightning to disrupt the ritual at the beginning.
  "I am not an evil computer-man, beep boop."
• During "Ponyville Love Story", Crazy56U becomes convinced that the fic is ripping off Footloose, to the point where he declares Footloose to be dead.
• Snow Day receiving numerous names during "Snow days are forever".
• Following a "Cards Against Humanity" joke^note "Dammit, Gary. You can't just solve every problem with [t]otal fucking chaos." during "My Little Sonic Friendship is way past cool", Crazy56U took to calling Discord "Gary".
• Also in Friendship is Way Past Cool, after a lack of a comma at a point where Sonic introduced himself to Apple Bloom, Mono took to calling Sonic "Sonic Apple Bloom".
  • He even carried it over to Sonic's various forms (calling them Dark Sonic Apple Bloom, Harmonic Sonic Apple Bloom, and Hairy Sonic Apple Bloom ^note When Sonic was in his werehog form When Shadow appeared later on, he even called Shadow "Shadow Sweetie Belle".
• In a meta sense, Fallen Prime's announcements for the "My Little Unicorn: Magic Is Believing" parts increasingly refusing to call the fic by its proper title.
• After the Author misnamed their OC during "Love at First Sight: A My Little Pony Love Story", Crazy56U latched upon the idea that said OC has a split personality^note except both personalities are the same, and as such goes back and forth on his name being either "Benjamin Edison" or "Thomas Franklin".
• Each chapter of Handbook for Mortals is the name of a tarot card, which many riffers react to in their own ways.
  • SC276 gives a detailed analysis of the card's icongraphy and meanings, including its upright and reversed keywords.
  • Ringmaster states its function in The Binding of Isaac.
  • Starting in part 2, Crazy56U posts a photo of a Cards Against Humanity hand.
  • PanzerThiefZero talks about an associated Persona character.
  • BittplexMutt gives the power of the corresponding Stand.
• Every instance of the PER logo in "The PER: Michelson and Morely - The Speed Of Right" is responded to with an image of Homer strangling Bart during "I Am Furious (Yellow)".
• Each chapter of "Bittersweet" sees Crazy56U giving it a title via a lyric from "No Sugar Tonight / New Mother Nature".
• During "The Black Friday Incident" portion of "Toy Story/Mario Creepypasta Shuffle", Jeffery Katzenburg gained a reputation of constantly slashing John Lasseter's tires.
