This roleplay provides examples of the following tropes:

    open/close all folders

    A-C
  • Abusive Parents: Cecily and Cassa had abusive fathers and it's a sore subject for both.
  • Accidental Aiming Skills: Gill, as he manages to pierce Donovan in the place where his heart should be.
  • Action Girl: Cecily North and Cassa Sforza.
  • Action Survivor: Tony.
  • Actually Pretty Funny: After Silas tells Alucard that he talks to much, Alucard just chuckles and agrees with the assessment.
  • Affably Evil: The Auditors, powerful reality-warping beings, run a game in which people are forced to fight for their lives and survive through many worlds they don't belong in, all for the sake of entertainment. But they appear to have a solid allegiance to one another. Gertie is willing to take the blame for Silent Hill in order to make sure Lucius and Charlotte are allowed to continue working. Charlotte came out of retirement for nothing more than her longtime friend, Lucius, asked her to. Lucius is willing to throw his secretary under the bus in order to make sure his team escapes punishment.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Alucard and Cassa call each other “Big Troublemaker” (Alucard) and “Little Troublemaker” (Cassa). It’s actually cuter than you’d think.
  • A God Am I: Donovan does not hesitate to call himself a god.
  • A God I Am Not: Cassa dislikes being compared to a god, even though she owned up to it once.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: Donovan's death at the hands of his "wife", Josephine.
  • Alcohol-Induced Idiocy: Cassa drunkenly insulting the witchcraft god and leaving her weapon at her seat probably wasn’t the smartest idea.
  • All Deaths Final: All players who die in the show are permanently killed off. They don't resurrect in their homeworld.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Cecily with Donovan, Cassa with Alucard, and Gwen with Draco.
  • Alucard: The roleplay has one. Whether he's actually Dracula or just loves anime remains to be seen.
  • Ambiguously Bi: Cassa. She says she has always been more interested in women, but is in a seemingly happy relationship with a man.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Donovan and Alucard both lose their arms in the Silent Hill world.
  • Antagonist in Mourning: Donovan appears to actually mourn his wife and daughter, Josephine and Dahlia.
  • Anyone Can Die
  • Armor-Piercing Question: It's more an Armor-Piercing Speech, but Cecily's speech to Alucard about his trying to kill Cassa. He's surprised by how much it affects him.
    • Ember verbally attacks Tony and Gill over their shortcomings: Tony's perceived uselessness and Gill's lying about hunting vampires.
    • The Morrigan asking Donovan why he hasn't killed the entire group yet. It's one of the few times Donovan is left speechless.
  • Artificial Limbs: Cecily has a prosthetic arm of her own design. She even offers to build Cassa new legs.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Fang.
  • Back from the Dead: The Players' deaths in Silent Hill don't stick, although they're not completely alive yet. They have to go through The World Ends with You first.
  • Badass Boast: Cassa and Donovan both give one to each other during their fight.
Cassa: *after Donovan says he'll erase her* "Oh, you can try to erase me. It wouldn’t be my first time. A better monster than you tried and failed! I’ve seen life after death and it’s nothing but a never-ending void filled with your greatest sins and your biggest regrets. I’ve been there and I came back stronger, with powers than you probably can’t even dream of, you unimaginable bastard. But, I have something to say to death. Not today.”
Donovan: "A better monster? Did you know, Cassa, that there are no vampires on my world? Not truly. The word doesn't exist there. It is common elsewhere, I've found, and it applied to me well enough that I've taken it for myself. But... a vampire, I am not. Nor are the creatures I have sired. Nightborne. I was the first, though. In a time of desperation I prayed to any god that would listen... and finally one did. A being of chaos, he made me what I am. Got carried away, I think. Stuffed me with too much. No creature I have sired can do all of the things I can do.The Man in Red, they called me. Still do, actually, though these days I am more of a legend I suppose. What I'm saying is this, there is no monster better than the one before you now."
  • Badass Bookworm: Cecily North. Medical doctor, engineer, wielder of a hyper-diamond warhammer and wrecker of your shit.
  • Badass Crew: The Players of the BDRP.
  • Badass Normal: Tony and Gill.
  • Badass Longcoat: Alucard wears one.
  • Bag of Holding: Cassa seems fond of them and even shoves an angry goddess into one.
  • Bar Brawl: Cassa and Cecily were forced the fight the Morrigan in the Hog's Head.
  • Batman Gambit: Donovan is running one against the ENTIRE team.
    • He runs a smaller one in his fight against Cassa, deliberately allowing her to bite his fingers so that enough of his blood, which he can control, is in her body so it can kill her.
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: Between Cecily and Donovan.
  • Berserk Button:
    • NEVER call Cecily a cyborg or tell her that her friends died.
    • Do not threaten or insult Cassa (Or say she died) in front of Alucard.
    • With Cassa, don't threaten or harm any of her loved ones.
    • Don't tell Donovan that someone is "a better monster". Don't threaten Cecily. Don't kill anyone he feels he has sole right to kill.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Cassa is hard to truly make angry, but when she is, expect less-restrained-than-usual use of powers.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: “Grimm”. His actions have been pretty diabolical, thus far.
  • Big, Screwed-Up Family: It looks like many of the characters come from unhappy families.
  • Bilingual Bonus: Cassa has spoken in Italian a few times.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Donovan using his acting skills to fool the rest of the team in false security.
  • Blood Magic: One of Donovan's vampiric powers.
  • Bloody Horror: The Silent Hill basement and the lake.
  • Bottomless Magazines: Cecily’s gun had self-replenishing ammo.
  • Broken Pedestal: Donovan, to Cassa. She's furious at the fact that he lied to her and refers to him as a monster when he tries to kill her. However, now that she has conveniently forgotten her death, the rapport between them and her trust in him is intact, for now.
  • Break the Cutie: The game seems to revolve around this.
  • Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: Alucard and Cassa have shades of this.
  • Brought Down to Normal: Cassa loses all of her powers in the Silent Hill world.
  • British Stuffiness: Cecily. Donovan is considerably much more loose.
  • Bullying a Dragon: The Mother implies that Donovan is doing this by killing Cassa and that it won't end well for him.
  • Came Back Strong: Cassa reveals she's been "erased" before, but instead of staying that way, she came back as a reality-warping living god.
  • Characters Dropping Like Flies: For a while, characters were joining and leaving very quickly and only a handful of characters have been mainstays of the roleplay.
  • Characterization Marches On:
    • Cecily: She started the role-play as a fairly serious Proper Lady who could barely care about her teammates or their well-being. While she had a sharp tongue, she very rarely swore and was prone to fainting. Now, she is a berserker-style, foul-mouthed combat medic who refuses to be a victim and who serves as one of the driving forces of the group. She's also a defrosting ice queen who clearly does care about her teammates in her own way.
    • Cassa: She started as a hot-tempered, foul-mouthed, prideful woman who did not shy away from using her reality-bending powers and also did not hesitate to get into verbal fights with Cecily and Strada. She has become The Pollyanna and Team Mom of the group, more humble, unable to trust herself with her own powers and very rarely uses a swear word. She's retained some of her prideful mannerisms, especially when she gets backed into a corner.
  • Chew Toy: Alucard. He's been shot in the stomach by Cecily, shot through the throat by Lucius, choked out by Gill's scarf, cut in the chest by Pyramid Head, had his arm ripped off, kicked in the hip by Cecily (after killing her), and is now the target of revenge from Donovan. Thank goodness he's a vampire or else there's no way he'd survive.
  • Clothing Combat: Gill's scarf is useful in a fight.
  • Choke Holds: Gill's scarf puts Alucard in one when the latter tries to attack Officer Bennett.
  • Co-Dragons: Gertie, Charlotte, and Molly all assist Lucius with the show.
  • Color Motif: Cassa (Green), Donovan (Red and Black), Alucard (Red), Cecily (Black or White).
  • Combat, Diplomacy, Stealth:
    • Combat: Alucard / Cecily (when diplomacy fails) / Gill
    • Diplomacy: Cassa / Tony / Fang (He seems to dislike violence and likes to talk).
    • Stealth: Donovan / Silas
  • Combat Medic: Cecily, being the group's main healer, strategist, and enthusiastic fighter.
  • Combat Pragmatist: When told to partner up in TWEWY, Gill deliberately chooses one of the strongest people there: Donovan.
  • Commonality Connection: Most characters have found things in common that deepened their relationships.
  • Compliment Backfire: Cecily called Cassa the "sweetest, nicest mongrel" to Alucard's face.
  • Consummate Liar: Lucius Slender and Donovan Shier.
  • Continuity Reboot: The Silent Hill restart.
  • Cool and Unusual Punishment: What Lucius can do with the quarter is cool, but what he does to the tree group is just wrong.
  • Cool Sword: Cassa with her rapier, and Donovan with his techno-sword.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Cecily, impaled on a teammate's hand in the Silent Hill world.
    • Cassa's heart is sliced to ribbons by Donovan's blood magic in the Silent Hill world.
    • Tony is stabbed by a fiery blade.
    • Gill is strangled with his own scarf.
    • Fang is poisoned, picked apart and crushed, then immolated.
    • Silas and Alucard drown in a lake of blood and alcohol, more than likely eaten by the things living in the lake.
    • Donovan gets disintegrated.
  • Crush Blush: Cecily turns red when she compliments Cassa, calling her sweet, nice, and beautiful.
  • Cry into Chest: A drunken Cecily does this to Cassa in the Firefly world.

    D-G
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Almost all of the Players have, or are implied to have, a dark past.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Cassa. She has dark tan skin and black hair, but follows an oath and a code when it comes to using her god-like power and is a very kind person. Compare to Donovan's Light Is Not Good.
  • Deadpan Snarker: All of the characters have had a snark moment.
    • Dante is currently winning with most snarky comments so far.
  • Death Amnesia: Cassa doesn't remember her death in Silent Hill.
  • Death by Cameo: Professor Snape.
  • Death Glare: Alucard delivers one to Cecily.
  • Death Is Cheap: Donovan is starting to get tired of the people he killed coming back to life.
  • Death Is Not Permanent: For the first time in the BDRP, the Silent Hill deaths aren't final and the Players are sent to the Reapers Game in Shibuya.
  • Death of a Child: Fang's death in Silent Hill.
  • Defiant to the End: Cecily and Cassa.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Cecily, in spades, to the point where she defends Cassa's honor.
  • Devil in Plain Sight: Donovan, with no one being the wiser now that Strada and James are gone.
    • Gill (and possibly Tony) is now wise to his game, having been present when Ember revealed Donovan's past.
  • Diabolus ex Machina: Lucius Slender is not above threatening the team with this.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Cassa punches Vaati straight in the eye.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Even before his hunger came back, Alucard's proposed punishments for Cecily (after she called Cassa a mongrel) were a little on the excessive side.
  • Dramedy: The entire Big Damn Roleplay.
  • Drinking on Duty: Everyone goes off in search of the portal or other worthwhile pursuits. Cecily and Cassa hit up a bar.
  • Drunk with Power: Donovan gives off shades of this, most recently in his battle with Cassa, when he explains that he was the first of his kind and no other Nightborne he's sired can do what he does.
  • Dwindling Party: Once Cecily dies in Silent Hill, the group dies off one-by-one.
  • Dying Alone: Averted in Silent Hill. All of the Players died with someone around them.
  • Dying Declaration of Hate: Cecily to Alucard.
  • Emerald Power: Cassa wears an emerald green dress and has (sea) green eyes.
  • Emergency Transformation: Cassa had to undergo one in order to be given her reality-bending powers.
  • Enemy Mine: Silas and Alucard reach a truce in Shibuya; Silas' protection in exchange for Alucard not harming him.
  • Escort Mission: Cassa becomes one after she becomes wheelchair-bound.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Donovan has his wife and daughter, Josephine and Dahlia.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: Cassa. Cecily has a crush (or an interest) on her.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Alucard, of all people. He's disgusted by Cecily after she insults Cassa and even feels some sort of regret after killing her.
  • Evil Counterpart: Donovan, to Cassa.
  • Exposition Beam: Cassa tries to do this to Cecily at Cecily's request. Only, it doesn't go as planned.
  • Face of an Angel, Mind of a Demon: Donovan is described as being handsome, but is a remorseless and conniving killer, who enjoys his murders.
  • "Facing the Bullets" One-Liner: Cecily and Cassa, before they die.
  • Fainting: Cecily is Queen Fainter.
  • False Reassurance: Donovan reassures Cassa he’s one to be trusted. Too bad he’s still gonna murder the hell out of her.
  • Family-Unfriendly Death: True to Silent Hill's nature, no one died a pleasant death.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Donovan puts on the act of a kind, well-meaning, proper gentlemen who just so happens to drink blood. In reality, he's a psychotic, unrepentant killer who takes sadistic pleasure in his kills. He even laments killing Cassa wasn't as fun because she didn't have her reality warping powers at the time and was unable to fight back.
  • Fights Like a Normal: Despite being able to warp reality, Cassa does not use that awesome power in a fight.
  • Fingore: Cassa bites Donovan's fingers hard enough to draw blood when he tries to rip her tongue out.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: A rather quick case between Cecily and Cassa. By the end of the Firefly world, Cecily was already admitting that she might miss Cassa if she died. In Harry Potter, Cecily confirmed their friendship (If slightly one-sided). Playing through a deadly game together will do this.
  • First Law of Resurrection: Rather than the actual role-players wanting their characters to come back, it's written that Lucius makes it so that they're being resurrected so he can avoid punishment by "the higher ups" for letting them all die in Silent Hill.
  • Flaying Alive: Donovan does this to a poor Hogwarts student.
  • Flirting Under Fire: They're in constant danger, but it doesn't stop Cecily and Donovan from flirting.
  • Foreshadowing: It's happened a couple of times now throughout the roleplay.
  • Four-Temperament Ensemble: Cassa (Sanguine), Cecily (Melancholic), Donovan (Phlegmatic), and Alucard (Choleric).
    • Tony, Gill, and Fang are also Sanguine. Silas is Choleric.
  • Freak Out: Cassa is prone to these.
  • Friendly Neighborhood Vampire: Alucard and Donovan are the resident vampires. But neither of them are particularly friendly.
  • Freudian Trio: Cecily (The Superego), Donovan (The Id), and Cassa (The Ego).
  • Girly Bruiser: Cecily, especially with her hammer.
  • Glass Cannon: Cecily and Cassa.
  • God in Human Form: Cassa is a living god. Donovan is a vampiric god in his own right.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Donovan may very well be a case of this, having pleaded with different deities during desperate times. However, the deity that answered was a chaos god and it turned him into a psychopathic living god that is now a legend in his own world.
  • Good Is Not Nice: Cecily and Alucard are firmly on the side of good, but neither of them are nice people.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Cecily and Cassa. They are NOT kind to their enemies.
  • Good Thing You Can Heal: Alucard and Donovan, thanks to their vampiric abilities.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Lucius is the game master, but Donovan is the one the rest of the group needs to be worried about.

    H-J
  • Half-Truth: Donovan's conversation with Cassa is chock full of these.
  • Hallway Fight: Alucard vs. Cecily. Donovan vs. Cassa.
  • Handicapped Badass: Cassa proves her skill with a rapier even though she's wheelchair-bound.
    • Cecily also counts, seeing as she's permanently missing an arm.
  • Hannibal Lecture: Dumbledore’s speech to Donovan.
  • Hates Everyone Equally: Cecily.
  • Healing Factor: Donovan and Alucard, due to the vampirism.
  • Hero of Another Story: All of the Players.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: The majority of weapon-wielding characters have a sword as their weapon of choice.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: The Prop Auditor, Gertie, suggests blaming the events of Silent Hill on her since she broke the rules by putting Silas in early.
  • Hive Mind: Fang has one, to horrifyingly random effect.
  • Holding Hands: It's one of the few ways Cassa and Alucard show affection for one another.
  • Hollywood Drowning: Silas and Alucard in Silent Hill.
  • Horror Hunger: Donovan has this moment. Alucard joins in the Silent Hill world, first attempting to attack Cybil Bennett, then Cassa in a hunger-fueled blood rage. It finally ends after he kills Cecily and drinks her blood.
  • Humble Hero: A few of the characters, but reality warper Cassa takes the crown.
  • Hunting the Most Dangerous Game: Donovan, a very powerful vampire in his own right, is planning to kill reality bender Cassa, the most powerful character in the show/roleplay.
    • He finally achieves this, killing her while she's powerless in Silent Hill, although he admits it wouldn't be as fun as it would've been if she had her powers. However, Cassa's death didn't stick, so he may have to kill her again.
  • Hypocrite: Cecily defends Cassa's honor in Silent Hill, but when Donovan defends her honor against Alucard, she gets angry and attacks him.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Cecily and Cassa in the Harry Potter world, and they order pretty strong drinks.
    • Silas seems to be on the brink of this constantly.
  • I'll Take Two Beers Too: Cecily orders two glasses of “the strongest stuff” the Hog’s Head has, which happens to be brandy that’s been matured for 150 years.
  • Imaginary Enemy: Silent Hill introduces one by the name of Ember, whom Donovan seems to know personally. It's unknown whether his other hallucination, his wife Josephine, will be an enemy.
  • I'm Melting!: Donovan's death in Silent Hill.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Alucard impales Cecily on his hand when his Horror Hunger comes back.
  • Impossibly Cool Weapon: Courtesy of Cassa, Cecily now has a war-hammer made out of heavy steel, and one side of the hammer has a jagged circle blade made out of HYPERDIAMOND. It can also collapse itself to fit into Cecily’s bag and weighs far less than it really should.
  • In-Series Nickname:
    • Cassa: Cass (by Alucard), Mongrel (By Cecily).
    • Donovan: Donny (by Cecily), "The Man in Red" (in his own world).
    • Alucard: Bitey (by Cecily), Nightborne (by Silas).
    • Silas: Gandalf (by Alucard).
  • Internal Reveal: Donovan's true nature is finally revealed to Cassa in the Silent Hill world.
  • In Vino Veritas: Cecily undergoes a Personality Inversion when soused.
  • Inferiority Superiority Complex: We think Cecily suffers from this very much.
  • Intoxication Ensues: Cassa, after taking a hit of Laudanum. She spends the rest of the Firefly world completely high and utterly useless.
  • Ironic Echo: Cecily and Cassa's deaths are similar to one another. Both are killed by the vampiric love interest of the other, die in painful ways, and each were trying to defend the other (Alucard attempting to kill Cassa. Donovan threatening Cecily).
  • I Take Offense to That Last One: After all the battles he's fought in his own world, even sparring against Cassa, Alucard is insulted that he has to fight a frog in TWEWY.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Alucard. It's apparent he really does care for Cassa.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: To everyone that is not Cassa, Alucard is an asshole.
  • Jerkass: Alucard's interaction with Cecily makes him a big one.

    K-M
  • Kicking Ass in All Her Finery: Cassa, according to a character drawing, wears a cocktail dress.
  • Killed Off for Real: Takeo, Alex, Rufina, Catherine.
  • Kindness Button: Cassa is one for Alucard.
  • Lack of Empathy: Cecily and Alucard are very tone-deaf when it comes to reacting to others' emotions and feelings.
  • Lady of War: Cassa and Cecily.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Cassa has been hit with the amnesia stick the most. She cannot remember the end of Firefly, her death in Silent Hill, and her boyfriend Alucard.
    • Donovan now has no memories of anything.
  • Last Kiss: Donovan gets one from whatever was impersonating his wife Josephine before he dies.
  • Lethal Chef: Charlotte creates disgusting aspics no one should eat, but is a seemingly-good baker, building recreations of the worlds as elaborate cakes.
  • Lethal Klutz: Gill.
  • Light Is Not Good: Donovan. He has pale skin and white hair, but is an evil self-described god known as "The Man in Red". Compare to Cassa's Dark Is Not Evil.
  • Living Emotional Crutch: Alucard calls Cassa "the one good thing" in his life and it's implied she keeps him going.
  • Love Makes You Crazy: Cassa in the Harry Potter world, no thanks to Slender.
  • Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex: Alucard is a vampire with superhuman strength. Cassa, despite being a reality warper, has normal strength.
  • Martial Pacifist: Cassa has never started a fight in the BDRP, but she does end them.
  • Master Actor: Donovan is exceptionally good.
  • Master Swordsman: Cassa, who is very good with her rapier.
  • Meaningful Name: Alucard, a vampire.
  • Megaton Punch: Cassa can use her telekinesis to boost her punches to God-ending levels and uses it against Vaati effectively.
  • Missing Time: Neither James or Cassa remembers what happens during the Reaver Battle.
  • Monster Progenitor: The abomination Silas and Alucard face in Silent Hill is a mother.
  • Murder by Cremation: Ember kills Fang by immolating him.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: After blowing up Donovan's arm, Cassa can only stare at her rapier, then Donovan as he screams and bleeds. Even more, after he explains his origins, she finds some similarities between their stories.
  • My Name Is Inigo Montoya: "How about you just kneel before your lady, the goddess Cassa Sforza?"
    • And now: "I'm Cecily North, I'll be your physician this evening." *pulls out hammer* "I understand we'll be setting some bones. As I'll be wrecking your shit."

    N-P
  • Nerves of Steel: Cecily and Cassa. Highly emotional outside of battle, they become unflappable when the going gets tough.
  • Not So Stoic: Many of the characters that you would think would be stoic, like Cecily and Cassa have had rather frightening breakdowns.
  • Odd Friendship: Cecily and Cassa.
  • Official Couple: Alucard and Cassa.
  • Official Couple Ordeal Syndrome: Silent Hill has already been unkind towards the one confirmed couple in the BDRP by warping Cassa's powers when she tries to help Alucard and by inducing a desire for Cassa's blood in a blood-crazed Alucard.
  • Oh, Crap!: The Auditors are left in a panic once their higher-ups start questioning the events of Silent Hill.
  • One Head Taller: Cassa apparently comes up to Alucard’s chest, height-wise.
  • Only One Name: Alucard only goes by one name.
  • Only Sane Man: Tony.
  • Only Sane Woman: Of the two women in the game, Cassa is the more rational and sane one.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business:
    • Alucard usually loves arguing with Cecily and would normally have hurt her for insulting Cassa. But when she verbally attacks him about his relationship with Cassa, he actually gives her the chance to back down. Also, any interaction he has with Cassa shows his warmer side.
    • Donovan is normally unflappable and very rarely swears. But when he finds out Alucard killed Cecily in Silent Hill, Donovan says "That fucking tears it" and attacks him. After losing his memories, he acts even more OOC by being optimistic and acting friendly towards Gill.
  • Opposites Attract: Cecily and Donovan. Cassa and Alucard.
  • Our Mages Are Different: Silas.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: Donovan and Alucard come from different worlds.
  • Overdrawn at the Blood Bank: Both Donovan and Alucard have both lost enough blood to kill many men, but because they're both vampires, they more or less shrug it off.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: Tony and Gill, the group's Badass Normals, are surrounded by vampires, a wizard, a reality warping demigod, a combat medic with a deadly prosthetic, and a bat amalgam.
  • Parental Substitute: Fang is treating Cassa like she's his mother.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: Donovan and Cassa are both capable of doing some massive damage.
  • Pet the Dog: A more literal version; Cassa pets Fang on the head and encourages him as they're fighting in TWEWY.
  • Physical God: Cassa is called a god on a few occasions, while she denies it. The Mother finally confirms she is one in Silent Hill.
  • Please, Don't Leave Me: Cassa invokes this after Alucard gets choked out by Gill's scarf.
  • Power of Trust: Cassa is a very trusting person, but that trust is very easily broken.
  • Pragmatic Hero: Because of the worlds they come from, some of the cast falls under this.
  • Precision F-Strike: Cecily and Alucard are fond of these.
    • Cassa calls Donovan an "unimaginable bastard" in Silent Hill.
  • Proper Lady: Cassa, at first glance, is sweet, gentle, very rarely swears, is well-groomed, and is the most maternal member of the Players.
  • Psychic Powers: Cassa is a powerful telekinetic.
  • Punch a Wall: Cassa punches the floor in a fit of frustrated rage.

    Q-S
  • Ragtag Bunch of Misfits
  • Rain of Blood: Donovan’s opening move in his fight with Dumbledore.
  • Reality Warper: The Auditors Lucius P. Slender, Gertie, Charlotte, and Molly all control different aspects of reality in order to run the TV show. Cassa Sforza controls all reality on a more encompassing level.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Donovan and Alucard.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Cecily and Cassa.
  • RetGone: It seems like part of Cassa's reality-bending powers is this.
    • It's revealed she was erased from existence prior to the BDRP, but she was resurrected by the Mother.
  • Robe and Wizard Hat: Silas has a hat, at least.
  • Royal Rapier: Cassa's sword of choice is a rapier, fitting for a possible member of Sforza nobility.
  • Scarf of Asskicking: Gill's scarf.
  • Science Hero: Cecily’s actions in the Firefly world makes her this.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Silas witnesses Alucard killing and drinking Cecily and promptly runs.
  • Sdrawkcab Name: Alucard is "Dracula".
  • Ship Tease:
    • Cecily/Donovan. They've flirted, Cecily has called him good-looking, and Cecily is the only one Donovan shows a somewhat-genuine concern for.
    • Cecily/Cassa: Cecily has been laying it on pretty thick that she sees Cassa as more than just a mongrel.
    • Donovan/Cassa: They've shared a couple of sweet moments together and Cassa has kissed him on the cheek.
  • Shooting Superman: Alucard's thoughts reveals that shooting him in the head wouldn't work to kill him.
  • Shot to the Heart: Donovan gets shot, only it doesn't work.
  • Silk Hiding Steel: Cecily and Cassa. They can be perfect ladies when they want to be. Cecily hides a giant warhammer and Cassa hides a rapier.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Alucard and Cecily have racked up the highest swear count so far.
  • Shout-Out: The roleplay is CRAWLING with them.
  • Soft-Spoken Sadist: Donovan, in spades. He never raises his voice when fighting Cassa, calmly, but excitedly describing how he'll erase her and how much fun he'll have doing it. Even after she blows up his arm, all he does is casually talk about how he's a better monster than one of her previous enemies.
  • Sour Outside, Sad Inside: Cecily.
  • Spirited Young Lady: Cecily is outspoken, prefers building machines to "gentler" hobbies and is a doctor, not shying away from blood, and makes liberal use of swear words in her vocabulary.
  • Spontaneous Weapon Creation: Cassa’s capable of this, creating a gun and now a war-hammer for Cecily in the space of a few seconds.
  • Stock Animal Name: A bat creature named Fang.
  • Stock Foreign Name: Averted. Most of the characters come from somewhere other than the United States and they have names that are not stereotypical names of their origins. For example, the British Cecily North and Donovan Shier and the Italian Cassandra Sforza.
  • Stronger Than They Look: Most of the characters, but special mentions go to Cecily and Cassa. Cassa, after being beat to all hell by one of the Golden Goddesses in the Legend of Zelda world (Broken hand, arm, concussion), was able to keep standing and capture Din a bag. Cecily, after being shot with her own bullet, thanks to Lucius, in the Harry Potter world, bandaged herself up, took some local anesthetic, and kept walking. Damsel out of Distress indeed.
  • Summoning Ritual: Donovan uses one to summon Morrigan, a deity of witchcraft to fight Cassa. He uses Rowena Ravenclaw's body.
  • Superpower Lottery: Cecily, Tony, and Gill are the Players' three non-superpower members, although they all have weapons are aspects about them that make them heavy hitters. Alucard is a vampire with shadowmancy powers. Donovan is an ages-old vampire with a plethora of related abilities, like blood magic and shapeshifting. Cassa, the winner of the lottery, is a telekinetic reality warper.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Cecily and Alucard.
  • Sweet Tooth: Cassa, to the point of carrying lollipops in her Bag of Holding.

    T-V
  • Talk to the Fist: Donovan throws a punch at Alucard after finding out Alucard killed Cecily.
  • Tall, Dark, and Snarky: Alucard.
  • Team Dad: He’s an evil, murdering bastard, but Donovan plays this role well.
  • Team Killer: Donovan has already killed Strada and is currently contracted to kill Cassa.
  • Team Mom: Cassa, due to being one the most compassionate characters in the roleplay. It’s only a matter of time before she goes Mama Bear on someone.
    • She finally embraces this role by comforting Fang in the Silent Hill world.
    • Cecily calls herself and Cassa the group's den mothers in the Silent Hill world. Cecily's maternal instincts are noticeably lacking.
  • The Team Normal: Tony, the only normal member of the group.
  • Team Pet: Fang.
  • Tear Jerker: It takes a heart of stone to not cry at Rufina’s death scene. What makes it worse is that her last words are the exact same as the Tenth Doctor’s from Doctor Who.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Alucard and Silas after their agreement in TWEWY.
  • The Corrupter: Donovan tries to be this to Cecily in Silent Hill. Alessa tries to do it to Cassa as well.
  • Televised Torture: The game show the characters are playing through is basically this.
  • The Dreaded: Charlotte seems to fear "the Duchess, the Witch, and the Huntress", saying that the Auditors need a plan to deal with them.
  • The Face: Cecily is the one who does the most talking for the group when interacting with the different worlds' inhabitants. It's likely because she is the (second-best) liar.
  • The Medic: Cecily North.
  • The Nicknamer: Cecily and Alucard have trouble referring to people by their actual names.
  • The Older Immortal: Based on his powers, Donovan has been a vampire for a lot longer than Alucard has.
  • The Pollyanna: Cassa is good at locking emotions away in order to keep a sunny disposition. Helpful in the game, but one can’t help but wonder what’ll happen when she finally cracks.
  • The Power of Acting: Donovan's skills as an actor is practically a superpower in it's own right. For the majority of the BDRP, he's had the rest of the main cast (especially Cecily and Cassa) wrapped around his finger.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Cecily delivers one to Alucard once she's out of earshot of most of the group, calling him out for attempting to kill Cassa.
  • The Resenter: Cecily, especially when it comes to Alucard and his relationship with Cassa.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Cassa loves lollipops.
  • Trapped in TV Land: The entire plot behind the RP.
  • Trigger-Happy: Alucard is only too happy to have a chance to shoot someone.
  • Training Montage: In TWEWY, Alucard reveals that he and Cassa have sparred in the past. It can only be assumed it was a part of a training montage.
  • Tranquil Fury: Alucard is capable of this.
    • Cassa is even more tranquil. When Donovan tried to erase her, she calmly drew her sword and blew up his arm.
  • Tsundere: Dr. Cecily North is a Tsundere Type A. Cassa Sforza is a Tsundere Type B.
  • Undignified Death: Tony and Gill. Tony gets stabbed with a fiery blade and Gill gets strangled with his own scarf.
  • Unfazed Everyman: After some difficulty in the beginning, Tony has accepted his predicament, and his superpowered teammates, in stride. He did have some issue with his death in Silent Hill, but that's perfectly understandable.
  • Vampire Hunter: Gill claims to be one, but he's never hunted a vampire before.
  • Villainous Crush: Donovan on Cecily, as well as Slender’s crush on Catherine Faust.
  • Villain Protagonist: Donovan.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Cassa and Cecily. It looks like Silas and Alucard might become this.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifter: Donovan can transform into some kind of monstrous creature at will.
