Amusement parks are said to be the place where dreams come true, but this one seems to be a place of nightmares. Trapped with 17 other Ultimates and a variety of robots that are out for blood, you're fairly certain that this isn't a part of the program. Beyond the cheery aesthetics and carnival junk food lies secrets that could end lives and phenomena that can't be explained away with logic. With nine different zones to explore, ten different robots to run from and an unknown number of crystals to collect in order to unlock the exit, there's plenty of activities to keep you entertained as you put off the inevitable tragedy to follow. And that's not even mentioning those 'powers' the mascots won't shut up about...

Funshine World is a discord/reddit-based roleplay run by Kittyofhope, Cheesefestivities, and Bax. It is set in an abandoned theme park called Funshine World. It can be found here.

Tropes in Funshine World include:

  • Abandoned Area: The killing game location, Funshine World, is an abandoned amusement park.
  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Discussed. The reporter of Funshine World's closing, Kai Sakurai, had concerns about Tanniko, and how they could potentially become dangerous.
  • Amusement Park: The titular Funshine World, in which the killing game takes place in.
  • Blood from the Mouth: A symptom of the poison.
  • Clockwork Creature: Riku's automatons.

  • Companion Cube: Teru's apple friend, David.

  • Poison and Cure Gambit: The first motive involves everyone being poisoned. Everyone gets three temporary antidotes. For an actual antidote - you have to murder somebody.
  • Rustproof Blood: Subverted. Ryuu finds some dried blood at the hotel entrance.
  • Stupid Sacrifice: Tihk needlessly tried to give his arm to Were!Tobin. Thankfully Averted when Danuja brings some meat for Tobin.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Before her execution, Kusuriya gifted Kumashi to Teru.
