Oh yeah, this is the list of fame, the one they call the TROPE LIST!
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Byakuya Togami is this. In-universe, it’s simply that he Took a Level in Kindness.
- Kokichi Ouma is also this, being much less of an annoyance, and even being a bit of a Nervous Wreck who shows a lot of care for what others want.
- Base-Breaking Character: In-Universe example with Phil Rogers. Around half the cast thinks he’s the best person to walk the Earth, the other finds him either annoying or suspects him of figuratively brainwashing his “friends”.
- Beware the Silly Ones: Emma, for all her goofiness, gets pissed off quite easily.
- Blind Obedience: Akane is obedient to anyone who has a higher status than her, or had a higher status, such as Byakuya. Due to her being the ultimate maid, she sees no problem with this.
- Character Shilling: Hifumi and Chihiro shill Phil, to an almost ridiculous extent. To the point where one participant jokes about it being a cult rather than a friendship.
- Deadpan Snarker: Ace Corbyn and J Rosales both have shades of this.
- Dissonant Serenity: Phil has a lot of this. Casually eating a donut while a killing game is being announced, anyone?
- Disproportionate Retribution: “Hate on”
Phil? Be prepared to watch someone who’s currently in mortal danger die, because he’ll just leave. This isn’t a regular occurrence so far, but it fits this trope nonetheless. - Eyes Always Averted: Echo never looks anyone in the eye.
- Flat "What": Everyone’s reactions when Monoswitch bursts into a spontaneous Musical Number.
- Forgetful Jones: Monoswitch, apparently. As evidenced by the fact that they somehow managed to forget at least four students.
- The Gadfly: Kokichi initially appears to be this. After the killing game is announced, he becomes much less obnoxious.
- Hates Everyone Equally: Ace C.
- I Just Want to Have Friends: Kokichi.
- Jerkass: Ace.
Phil: Just so you know I’m always your rival cause your all serious and you need someone to talk to and Joke at…
Ace: Shut up, you arrogant Bastard.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Kokichi may have been quite harsh in his "The Reason You Suck" Speech, but Phil really was being somewhat insensitive.
- Manipulative Bastard: This is how one could potentially see Phil. Kokichi certainly thinks he is.
- The Music Meister: Monoswitch.
- No Sense of Personal Space: Phil has shades of this sometimes.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Kokichi gives one to Phil— the first of likely many.
Kokichi: JUST STOP, PHIL! DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW INSENSITIVE THAT IS?! YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT WANTING TO DIE LIKE IT’S NO BIG DEAL!!! And… if you know what’s good for you… do not talk about Ryoma as if you can compare yourself to him. Ryoma was selfless, and kind, and helpful. You’re a cult leader.
- Only Sane Woman: Mahiru sometimes has shades of this.
- Skewed Priorities: Phil sometimes has these. For example, after the killing game is announced, he’s more focused on the fact that he was right, and he even just casually eats a donut!
- Let’s not forget about the time when he plays K-Pop music for no reason, and Veronika “vibes” to it, while Kokichi is literally having a panic attack.
- Trauma Button: Kokichi has some in the form of wasps, impalation, and seeing others strangled by anything.
