- In Holiday on the Buses, when Arthur refuses to dance with Olive, Stan moans that he only wants them to do the military two-step, not the last tango in Paris.
- In Magnolia, Frank rants to his dying, unresponsive father Earl and then breaks down, much like Paul's monologue to his wife Rose in this movie.
- A Carry On Christmas sketch featured Barbara Windsor as a schoolgirl being taken to see Father Christmas. She complains that she wants to see Last Tango in Paris instead.
- Inspector Morse. One of the characters in "The Silent World of Nicholas Quinn" is embarrassed to have been caught having attended a screening of Last Tango in Paris, almost treating it as if he had gone to a pornographic cinema. When Morse goes to see it himself, he's disappointed to find it's no longer showing.
