  • Riley, Bill, and Riley's emotions appear in two commercials for Clorox bleach. One involves Bill accidentally dropping raw chicken on the floor when Riley bumps into him, and the other involves Bill accidentally sneezing on Riley's laptop when he helps her with her homework.
  • Riley and her emotions appear in an advert for Sky Broadband wi-fi service. In the advert, Riley becomes frustrated when her internet connection causes a video she watches about snails for her biology assignment to buffer.
  • Riley, Jillian, and Riley's emotions appear in a commercial for Subway. As Jillian takes Riley to Subway for lunch, Riley's emotions help Riley decide what she wants to have on her sandwich.

  • Cars 3: Two cars bear the sponsor of TripleDent Gum; Cam Spinner and Terry Kargas.
  • In Turning Red, TripleDent gum is sold below the front counter at the Daisy Mart. A sticker of Rainbow Unicorn can also be seen on a cellphone.

  • LEGO The Incredibles: Bing Bong appears as an unlockable character, unlocked by building Imagination Land in the Municiberg Residential District. Bing Bong can ride his wagon rocket.

  • Dark Secrets of Garry's Mod: (F)agymanók is a parody of Inside Out where Frost's emotions are anthropomorphized and Joy killed himself.
  • How It Should Have Ended provides an alternate ending to the film. In the prologue, Riley's emotions freak out when Riley has a brain fart. Also, when Joy finds out that the Mind Workers can send memories up to headquarters, she does this with the core memories, allowing her and Sadness to easily get back to headquarters. When they return, Joy punishes Sadness for getting them lost. Bing Bong then explains the situation to Riley, blowing her mind. In The Stinger, a now 31-year-old Riley is shown to still be living with her parents, hoping things never change, and when Joy starts crying when she and Bing Bong are trapped in the Memory Dump, Bing Bong asks her if she has emotions inside her head, to which her emotions are shown, and she tells him it's better not to think about it.
  • The Nostalgia Critic: The Framing Device for the Critic's review of Osmosis Jones is done in the style of Inside Out, with his six emotions, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, Disgust, and Pissed Off, respectively being played by Tamara Chambers, Beth Elderkin, Malcolm Ray, Taylor Chambers, Joanna Kay, and Christopher Harrison.
  • SuperMarioLogan:
    • In "Bowser Junior's Playtime 3", when Sally (played by Cody) gets back from a movie date with Ken, he says that The Good Dinosaur sucked and that Inside Out was way better.
    • In "Cody's Revenge!", Cody decides that he wants to watch a movie with Bowser Junior. Junior suggests that they watch Inside Out or The Incredibles, but Cody rejects those because he finds them too good to watch. He decides to watch Big Hero 6, much to Junior's disdain.
    • "Inside Jeffy!" is a parody of the film, where a day in the life of Jeffy is shown as his actions are controlled by his three emotions; Joy, Sadness, and Anger.

Western Animation

  • Family Guy: In "Passenger Fatty-Seven", when the plane that Peter and his friends are on gets hijacked by East European Terrorists, Peter wishes that he stayed home to finish his remake of Inside Out, which casts Chris as Joy, Meg as Sadness, Stewie as Anger, Lois as Disgust, and Peter as Poo, who triggers Riley's urge to use the bathroom.
  • Robot Chicken:
    • A sketch from "Mr. Mozzerella's Hamburger Skateboard Depot" features a trailer for a fictional sequel, Inside Out 2, which has Riley enter adulthood and introduces three new emotions; Super Horny, Hungry and/or Depressed, and Bigotry.
    • A sketch from "May Cause A Whole Lotta Scabs" involves Riley at a slumber party where she is about to get her ears pierced. When Fear freaks out, his emotions are shown, and eventually decides to have Riley get her ears pierced. Riley ends up bleeding to death as a result.
  • The Simpsons: In "Lisa With an S", a scene inside Homer's head spoofs the film, featuring Ned Flanders as Joy, Hans Moleman as Sadness, Milhouse as Fear, Comic Book Guy as Disgust and Groundskeeper Willie as Anger.

Real Life

  • The MIT Mystery Hunt 2018 is themed on the very movie, with the emotions themselves making an appearance and the plot on restoring Core Memories.
