  • An animated Curious George appears in a Mastercard commercial from 2000 where he travels through the city as the announcer mentions the costs of various monthly purchases. George's adventures are revealed to be part of the Curious George Takes a Job book that a mother is reading to her daughter as the announcer says "Trading a checkbook for a storybook: Priceless." George ends up creating the Mastercard logo when he accidentally knocks over cans of red and yellow paint while attempting to paint "The End" on the wall.

  • The Japanese series "Come Come Everybody" called George, the nephew of the first heroin Yasuko, "Curious George", albeit with "Momotarō" reference.
  • Friends: In "The One with the Fake Monica", Rachel catches Ross' pet monkey Marcel humping her Curious George doll, which according to her "is no longer curious."

  • In Final Fantasy XIV, the Warrior Job quests are given by an NPC named Curious Gorge, an obvious pun on George's name. Gorge lampshades it when you first meet him.
    Curious Gorge: You can call me Curious Gorge—one remark about the name and I'll rip yer ugly heads from your shoulders and suck the marrow out of your twitching spines.

  • Sheldon: In this strip, Arthur reads the Curious George books and tells Gramp about how sadistic they are. Gramp suggests that he just "try to go with the flow as you read it", so Arthur tries that... and then reads a book in which George visits an ATOMIC TESTING RANGE.

    • In "Holy Crap", when Francis asks Peter which is his favorite book of the bible, Peter responds with, "The one where Jesus swallows the puzzle piece and the Man in the Big Yellow Hat has to take him to the hospital.", referencing the plot of Curious George Goes to the Hospital.
    • In "Dog Gone", Stewie says Brian causing the death of another dog becomes more upset than he was when he read Curious George Goes to His Gym Teacher's Apartment.
    • In "Hannah Banana", the essay the Evil Monkey writes for Chris is titled The Slave Trade Allegory of Curious George. The allegory is the fact that a white man takes a monkey from Africa and brings him into America.
    • In "Road to the North Pole", Stewie mentions Curious George when Brian tries to make him aware that Santa isn't real, questioning if George is out making paper boats out of newspapers as he did in Curious George Rides a Bike.
    • In "Baking Bad", Brian reads Apathetic George to Stewie, in which George becomes listless after years of zoo captivity.
    • In "A Shot in the Dark", Peter pledges to be as serious in his work as a community watch member, as "Serious George". What follows is a cutaway where the Man with the Yellow Hat tries to encourage George to come outside and play, but George insists on doing his taxes and strongly hints that the man should leave him alone.
    • In "The D in Apartment 23", Stewie mentions meeting Curious George at the library, although he also mentions that Lois told him that it was only a puppet.

    • A sketch from "Walking Dead Lobster" has Curious George being brought to America, only to infect the city so badly, that the government nukes the area.
      Narrator: George saw the biggest bird that he had ever seen. And then it took a poop. *gasps* Oh my god! George, run! Stop being curious for one freaking minute! Take cover!
    • A sketch from "May Cause Your Dad to Come Back With That Gallon of Milk He Went Out for 10 Years Ago" has George go down a conspiracy theory rabbit hole on the internet and he's Killed to Uphold the Masquerade before he can reveal anything to the Man in the Yellow Hat.
    • In a sketch from "May Cause Season 11 to End", the Nerd and the Ghost of Nelson Mandela travel back in time to give Curious George a tail. When they travel back to the present, it results in George being given a big penis.
      Ghost: Not what I pictured, but I like it.
      Nerd: A big monkey weiner? I bet everyone will be curious about that.
  • The Simpsons: In a flashback scene in "Lisa's Sax", Marge tries to coax Bart to get out of bed by offering to read him Curious George and the Ebola Virus.
  • In the Nature Cat episode "Wild Batts", a crossover with Wild Kratts, Nature Cat mentions that one of the other neighborhood bats besides Chris and Martin Batt is named George the Curious Bat. Both Nature Cat and the Animated Adaptation of Curious George air on PBS Kids.
