- In Curious George Goes to the Hospital, George befriends a girl named Betsy who is afraid of being in the hospital. George takes off in another patient's wheelchair and crashes it into a display of food. The hospital staff and the mayor are initially upset at George for causing such a huge mess. Then, they discover Betsy and the rest of the children laughing at the destruction with all the adults joining in soon after. The adults reassure George that he won't be punished, and they thank him for making Betsy happy.
- A similar situation occurs in the short Curious George Goes to the Dentist. George sees a girl fearful to the point of tears in the waiting room and follows her mother to be examined. George spins the chair with the mother on it which at first gets him in trouble. All is forgiven when the girl laughs upon seeing this, and together they thank George for his help.
