  • The main character in Behind Enemy Lines is an air force pilot who wants to quit to become a pilot to the stars. He talks about being Britney's pilot.
  • In the opening scene of My Spy, JJ flips through a series of Russian radio stations. He reluctantly listens to "...Baby One More Time" because it's the only thing he can find that's in English.
  • In Seed of Chucky, Britney flips off Chucky while driving. Chucky then drives her out the road and quips "Oops I dit it again!".
  • Shallow Hal mentions her as one of the hot celebrities that he currently likes.
  • Marian from Adam & Paul complains that her daughter always wants her hair plaited. Orla says, "That's because she probably saw it on the telly or something. Britney or something."
  • Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse has a character who is a crazy homeless man. He turns into a zombie by the time the main characters see him again. They see that he has a Britney shirt on and they distract him by singing "...Baby One More Time".

Literature

  • The Hole We're In: Characters are constantly listening to Britney's chart music of the 1990s and early 2000s. Notorious moments in her career are also significant backdrops. Whether it's the coverage of "Hit Me Baby One More Time", or her 2007 breakdown, people are constantly talking about Britney and it's used to contrast the characters' evolution. Patsy even names her daughter Britt.
  • My Dark Vanessa: At the Halloween dance in 2000, girls who are too lazy for an elaborate costume show up in pleated miniskirts and pigtails, calling themselves Britney Spears.
  • In Being Bindy, Bindy's mum hangs a poster in Bindy's room and says, "I got this picture of Britney, but I wasn't sure if you liked her. We can change it." Bindy says, "Actually, that's Jessica Simpson."
  • In Beautiful Music for Ugly Children, Gabe applies for a job at a record store. He's given the option to list his favorite artist and writes "Britney Spears" as a joke.

Live-Action TV

  • In the Charmed (1998) season 4 finale, Britney is one of the famous people that the Angel of Destiny claims to have helped (along with Mozart and Einstein).
  • The Cold Case episode "Stand Up and Holler" has some of the characters claim that Britney's fame is fading (this was in 2007 which was Britney's lowest year personally).
  • Doctor Who: in the episode "The End of The World", the villainess Cassandra plays "Toxic" on a vintage jukebox while the sun burns Earth.
  • Glee has done not one but two Britney tribute episodes: "Britney/Brittany" (featuring Britney appearing in the character's daydreams) in season 2 and "Britney 2.0" (where Brittany relives Britney's worst moments) in season 4.
  • iCarly: The episode "iFix a Pop Star", in which the gang tries to help a washed-up singer stage a comeback, is a Take That! at Spears' public controversies of the mid-2000's.

  • The first line of "Bad Decisions" by RedHook is "Oops, I did drugs again last night"
  • Eminem of course refers to having to sit next to Britney at an awards show in "The Real Slim Shady".

  • The Fairly OddParents!: Pop superstar Britney Britney is an obvious parody of Spears.
  • Family Guy: The show has done many jokes regarding Spears' downward spiral during the mid-2000's.
    • In "Family Guy Viewer Mail #1" (during the "Super Griffins" segment), Peter shapeshifts into Britney in order to get a lock of Justin Timberlake's hair for Meg.
    • In "Model Misbehavior", Peter tells Lois that she looks like Britney Spears, except she's "not a fat guy".
    • In "Stu and Stewie's Excellent Adventure", Future!Peter watches a Britney Spears comeback concert, in which she's morbidly obese, in a wheelchair, and had lost a foot to diabetes.
    • In "Prick Up Your Ears", Stewie says that the Tooth Fairy must be quieter than Spears' dietician, leading to a cutaway where he unsuccessfully tries to keep her from stuffing her face with food.
    • In "The Tan Aquatic with Steve Zissou", Stewie calls Peter a worse parent than Britney Spears, leading to a cutaway of Spears talking on the phone while putting out a cigarette on her baby, then dropping it to answer the door.
    • A cutaway "Airport '07" shows Peter inserted over Spears in a photo of her infamous 2006 "crotch shot".
    • In "Boys Do Cry", Brian and Stewie hide from the authorities in a public restroom, and Brian tries to think of a way to change Stewie's appearance. Stewie suggests disguising himself as Britney Spears, saying "I'm already standing in urine and I hate the person I'm with".
    • In "Lois Kills Stewie", one of the people Stewie vows to kill in his Villain Song is Britney Spears for "accidentally showing her vagine". The scene depicts a parody of said incident, with the paparazzis' faces melting upon seeing it.
    • A cutaway from "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven" is a parody of Thinner, in which a younger Britney gets cursed by a gypsy who says "Thicker..."
  • The Simpsons: In "Dude, Where's My Ranch?", Marge worries that her kids are growing up too fast and sees a scantily-clad Maggie dancing to "Oops!... I Did It Again".
