- Brick: The shot of Laura coming out of a dark corridor during the chase scene is a reference to the similar shot in Blue Velvet.
- In Living Color! had one Fire Marshall Bill skit where he was bothering a group of doctors who were operating on him at one point take an oxygen mask and starts huffing the air while shouting "Don't look at me!"
- The Velvet Room in the Persona series has been said to be visually inspired by the film.
