- Kick-Ass ends with Chris Genevose saying "Wait'll they get a load of me" as he plots to become the Big Bad. The film adaptation has the exact same ending.

- The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie use the Tim Burton costume. The latter film also has Batman say "You wanna get nuts? Come on! Let's get nuts!", and the pilot of the plane Joker hijacks making reference to "the parade and the Prince music".

- Batman Begins homages this film in various Mythology Gags.
- Batman aggressively introduces himself to a criminal.
- Batman rescues his love interest and takes her to his Batcave.
- The main villain flooding the streets of Gotham with chemical gas.
- The film concludes with the first lighting of the Batsignal.
- The Flash (2023) references it in a Mythology Gag, with the Homage Shot of the Batwing blocking the full moon.
- The Last Circus has a similar Climbing Climax at the top of a tall religious building (the giant cross of Valle de los Caídos) between two deranged Monster Clowns who blame each other for becoming monsters and fight to death for the woman they both desire, which is similar to the dynamics between Batman, The Joker and Vicki Vale.
- Pokémon Detective Pikachu has a climax centered on stopping parade balloons that release a dangerous gas.
- Spider-Man: Homecoming: During his first encounter with the Vulture, Spider-Man sees the Vulture's silhouette blocking the full moon as he tumbles down, referencing the shot of the Batwing blocking the moon in an Actor Allusion to Michael Keaton.
- Tom & Jerry (2021): Tom references the Batwing against the full moon when he flies up above the clouds.

- The Simpsons:
- In "Last Exit to Spingfield", Lisa reacting to her braces by shattering a mirror and Laughing Mad is a direct parody of the scene in which Jack Napier first sees his new face as the Joker.
- "Homie the Clown" also references it when Krusty attempts a facial surgery to avoid his troubles, although done in a more Rapid-Fire Comedy way.
