- Inspired the character Ginormica from Monsters vs. Aliens, though she is only a 49 Foot, 11 And A Half Inch Woman. There's also a shot of a Ginormica's giant hand reaching inside a building to grab someone, just like Nancy does.
- Planet 51: One of the contingency plans the army has is for attack by a 50-foot woman, with a parody of the poster on its cover.

- PJ Harvey's single "50 ft. Queenie" from Rid of Me is inspired by this film.

- An episode of Sex and the City plays on the title, itself being titled "Attack Of The 5'10" Woman", referring to petite Carrie clashing with her ex's Statuesque Stunner wife.

- Phineas and Ferb episode "Attack of the 50-Foot Sister" puts Candace in this position.
- The Tiny Toon Adventures episode "Tiny Toon Adventures S 1 E 64 KACMETV" has a 50-foot Elmyra hugging a bulding.
- Totally Spies!: In "Attack of the 50 Ft. Mandy", there is a scene in which the now giant Mandy straddles a freeway overpass in a manner very similar to the iconic movie poster.
