Recap / Yu Gi Oh VRAINS Ep 35 The Other Lost Incident

Go To

In order to save LINK VRAINS from destruction, Playmaker heads to the Tower of Hanoi. However, standing in his way is Spectre, who has beaten Blue Angel! Playmaker tries to deal big damage to Spectre, but Spectre’s Sun Avalon combo prevents him from doing that. In this Duel, Playmaker learns about Spectre’s shocking past...

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Armor-Piercing Question: Playmaker questions Spectre what he fights for. Spectre, however, is unfazed by the question, and shamelessly admits that he fights for Revolver's cause.
  • Badass in Distress: As Akira reaches Blue Angel, he gets trapped in a thorny prison which plants a computer virus in him should he touch the vines.
  • Human Sacrifice: After her loss to Spectre, Blue Angel is converted into data and absorbed by the Tower of Hanoi.
  • Not So Similar: Like Yusaku, Spectre was one of the six children kidnapped during the Lost Incident. Unlike Yusaku, however, Spectre enjoyed every moment of his time in captivity, and felt as if time moved forward for him; his only concern being that he couldn't be with a certain tree who mothered him since infancy.
  • The Reveal: Spectre was one of the children kidnapped during the Lost Incident.
  • Wham Line: Spectre revealing that he was one of the six children abducted during the Lost Incident.
  • You Are Too Late: Akira logs into LINK VRAINS to check up on Aoi, but is trapped in a cage and forced to watch Aoi get turned into data.
