• Battle Trophy: Zane announces to the evil monsters that the Supreme King is defeated and tosses his helmet out the tower. The monsters run in despair.
• Continuity Nod: In the dub, when Zane announces the Supreme King's defeat to his army and tosses down his helmet, the Eye of Timaeus music from the previous series is played.
• The End of the World as We Know It: Aster's Skilled White Magician and Skilled Dark Magician opponents sacrifice themselves to ritual summon Demise, King of Armageddon and pay 2000 life points to destroy all cards on Aster's field.
• Foreshadowing:
  • The Supreme King's last remaining henchmonster Guardian Baou sees the group take Jaden out of his tower.
  • The episode ends with Ojama Yellow claiming he saw Jesse but Ojama notices he doesn't look quite right.
• Psychotic Smirk: A rare hero example, when Aster defeats Demise: King of Armageddon.
• Taking You with Me: The Supreme King fuses his Evil Hero Malicious Edge with the Evil Token he placed on Axel's field to summon Evil Hero Malicious Fiend which has 3500 attack and destroys Axel's 3000 attack Volcanic Doomfire causing him to lose his remaining 500 life points. Axel uses his Volcanic Counter's ability of removing it from play to make the Supreme King lose the same amount of life points ending the duel in a draw and resulting in Axel sent to the stars but releasing Jaden from the Supreme King's grip.
• Wham Shot: The end of the episode confirming Jesse to be alive, but having orange eyes, indicating that’s something’s not right with him
