- It's the Same, Now It Sucks!: In-universe. Hassleberry's followers ditch him for using the same strategies. He even notes this always happen whenever somebody joins him. Jaden points out to him that like the dinosaurs he's fond of, he needs to evolve too.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: In-universe. Jaden uses Skyscraper to show Hassleberry that the world changes and evolves. Hassleberry gripes he hates change and then realizes that was the problem.
