Episode 140: Wait Time
Takes place 17 February 2013.
Paul meets up with the team to find a yellow power ring candidate for purging the Anti-Life. Lacking other candidates, he sets out to contact Melinoë, but Themyscira has vanished, so he instead seeks a backdoor to Hades' realm via the Celtic Otherworld.
- Acquired Poison Immunity: In the Warhammer Fantasy world, Sir Mallobaude's first reaction to the smell of coffee is to assume that Paolo wants to train their bodies to resist poison.
- Alternate Universe: Warhammer Fantasy Paul, now going by "Paolo", visits Emperor Karl to report on his activities.
- Bird-Poop Gag: Mercury uses this to help protect the Pagan Nation, to Paul's chagrin.
- Call-Back:
- Paul and his allies decide to visit the Pagan Nation, which Paul only visited once before, to see if the magician there can help them.
- Sehkmet attacks Paul for offhandedly suggesting that she marry Athena to join the Olympians.
- Character Development: Paul and Robin have a conversation on how Batman's mindset has become more positive since he first started out. Unfortunately, this also has the side effect of making him ill suited to using a yellow ring.
- Godzilla Threshold: Technically the Joker is on the list of potential yellow ring wielders, but he's a long way from being the preferred choice.
- There Is No Kill Like Overkill: Paolo regrets that since the Pirate Princess has refused to negotiate with him, "extreme measures" might become necessary to deal with her.Karl: Assassination?
Paolo: Throwing the island into an ocean trench. - Undead Laborers: Paolo's canal has progressed faster than the Emperor expected, because skeletons don't need to eat, drink, or sleep. The only bottleneck is gathering enough intelligent undead to coordinate them.
