On Earth 616, Earth's Heroes and Villains were abducted by Beyonder who instructed them to fight to the death for his own amusement on Batlleworld, a Patchwork World composed of mismatched parts from different worlds. Eventually, after a whole lot of rigamarole, the heroes and villains defeated the Beyonder and then Dr. Doom (who stole the Beyonder's powers), and all managed to go home- though Ben Grimm stayed a while.

But what if they'd never returned, and had to settle down on Battleworld?

Well that’s exactly what happened on Earth-9811 in which Reed Richards was killed in a battle between Galactus and the Beyonder, leaving the remaining humans stranded. Without Reed to get them home, the remaining heroes and villains settled down, making peace with each other and living in the Denver suburb that had been transported to Battleworld. It's been 25 years since then, and many of them have gotten married and had kids. Now, the kids are all grown up, and are ready to begin their own adventures.

Tropes

  • Cain and Abel: Half brothers Balder Blake and Vincent von Doom are both sons of Enchantress. Balder is the Abel and Vincent is the Cain.
  • Fusion Dance: Peter Parker has fused completely with the Symbiote, to the point where Peter's body is just a skeleton they use to maintain a human form.
  • Good Is Not Nice: Firefly’s Character establishing moment is bullying Molecule Man’s son Tucker about his scars. He does fight on the heroes side against the guy he bullied.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Molecule Man, Volcana, Absorbing Man, The Wrecker, and Titania have all joined the heroes, mostly settled down, and started families. Unfortunately their children decide to take up their villainous ways.
  • Killed Offscreen: When we begin the story, Enchantress, Magneto, Reed Richards, Galactus, Beyonder, Cyclops, Monica Rambeau, Julia Carpenter, Iron Man and most of the Wrecking Crew have been dead for years.
  • "Ray of Hope" Ending: The kids sneak off and use Hulk's invention and successfully make it to Earth only to find out it’s been taken over by Sentinels, but they resolve to try and save the world and take it back from the mutant killing machines.
