Charlie hosts a collection of spooky stories.

Tropes:

  • Achilles' Heel: The heart lockets that power the killer dolls turn out to be their weak point.
  • And Show It to You: Grizzly rips the heart out of his doll and crushes it in front of him. The glowing red light then literally goes out of his eyes.
  • Cannot Keep a Secret: Upon being brought to life by the bears’ essence, the “Oso Adorable” dolls immediately spill each of the brothers’ embarrassing secrets.
    Grizzly: Well...these are obviously defective.
  • Creepy Doll: Panda buys toy versions of himself, Grizzly and Ice Bear. A small locket comes with each that brings the toys to life. Things quickly go weird. And murderous.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Werebear!Chloe goes on an Unstoppable Rage after a cafe staff member accidentally spills her boba tea to the floor.
  • Downer Ending: As mentioned below, Chloe is turned into a complete bear without the ability to speak and there's no indication that she can turn back. Thankfully, she's not as aggressive as she was in her half bear form but it's still mildly upsetting in a way. It's pretty much Played for Laughs, though.
  • Faux Horrific: Charlie introduces his second story as being about something truly strange and scary: a 10-year-old that goes to college.
  • Forced Transformation: Chloe begins to turn into a werebear only minutes after Grizz accidentally bites her. First she grows Cute Little Fangs and then hair all over her body. She becomes more and more bear-like in behavior as the story goes on.
  • Fourth Wall Psych: At first Charlie appears to be telling the stories to the audience, but in the end it's revealed that he's really talking to some trick-or-treaters.
  • Freaky Is Cool: Turning into a were-bear actually makes Chloe more popular with her classmates.
  • Halloween Episode: Kind of goes without saying.
  • Here We Go Again!: The end of the first segment has Ranger Tabes reveal a Creepy Doll in her own likeness.
  • Hulk Speak: Chloe begins to talk like this as she becomes more and more feral after her transformation into a werebear.
    Chloe: Me want boba!
  • Hunter of Monsters: The teacher from Chloe's class on mythology turns out to be a werewolf hunter. Unfortunately, she doesn't know enough about were-bears to help with Chloe.
  • Kill It with Fire: Ice Bear throws his doll into the oven and turns it on, setting it on fire and destroying the essence that was keeping it alive.
  • Mini-Me: In Charlie’s first story, the bears buy adorable doll versions of themselves. Unfortunately, they end up being evil killing machines.
  • Our Werebeasts Are Different: After accidentally being bitten by Grizzly, Chloe turns into a werebear. An utterly adorable werebear. Unfortunately, she slowly becomes more aggressive, and eventually reverts to a purely animal form along with being unable to talk.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: As shown at the end of the episode, for the first time, Charlie ends up interacting with humans up close and front and no disguise without any problem at all. Probably because it's Halloween, and therefore people could easily think he was just a human in a costume (though this part of the episode may also not be canon).
  • Out-of-Character Alert: What is the thing that start to creep out the bears about the dolls? Ice Bear's saying "hug me".
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: The doll versions of the bears get glowing red eyes when they turn evil.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Cute already, werebear Chloe becomes absolutely adorable when goes full bear.
  • Super-Strength: After turning into a werebear, Chloe becomes so strong that she can lift Panda up over her head and throw him across the boba shop.
  • There's No Kill like Overkill: The bears find out that removing the hearts from their evil doll counterparts will stop them from their murderous rampage. Panda removes the heart from his but, just to be sure, Ice Bear violently hacks it (and Panda’s laptop) to pieces with his ax.
  • Vignette Episode: The episode features two spooky short stories.
  • You Monster!: The bears towards the mythology teacher when she ensnares Chloe in silver rope.
Grizzly: What have you done, you monster?!
Ice Bear: Ice Bear does not forgive.
