On the next floor of Oropo's Tower, Yugo and his friends encounter the Feca Room, an odd temple where several pieces of underwear are stored in the walls behind glass cases. After being forcefully pushed in the main hall, they're confronted by the Feca demigod Black Bump, who's actually willing to let the heroes pass as long as they pay the required toll: they have to give him their underwear for his collection!

While Flopin and Eva plans to escape through the gigantic gap which opened in the room after the battle between Dark Vlad and Sadlygrove, the heroes must overcome their loony but formidable opponent to proceed. However, this battle is going to be difficult, and the growing tension between Yugo and Amalia is about to surface...

Tropes:

  • Aborted Arc: The very last scene of the episode shows Dally with his right arm back to normal, no trace of Rubilax in sight. When he does reappear, he has Rubilax on his arm again, implying that the writers had an idea which was discarded. Either that or it was an animation error.
  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: The actual weak point of Black Bump's barriers: demigod powers or not, he cannot hold up his barriers forever against repeated or focused attacks. This is ultimately Yugo's strategy to take him down.
  • Barrier Warrior: Black Bump, being a Feca, can generate a perfectly spherical barrier which protects him from all harm. He also wears a suit of armor, which does have two uses: reinforce his barrers and protect him should he fail to raise the barrier in time.
  • Beat Them at Their Own Game: Black Bump can also split the "key" into a set of Tonfa to fight. For the final clash, Yugo creates two tonfa made of Wakfu to fight him.
  • Bifurcated Weapon: Black Bump's weapon is also the key to leave his temple to the next floor: normally they're a couple of tonfa, but he can put them together to generate what's essentially a saberstaff.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Even if he was taken out of commission earlier, Ruel recovers in time to use his shovel to parry Black Bump's attack on Yugo.
  • Big Damn Kiss: Yugo and Amalia finally share a big cathartic one in the middle of the battle, after she was injured. Unfortunately, while Amalia was elated, Yugo regrets it, fearing that he acted too impulsively.
  • Bittersweet Ending: The heroes have managed to downright defeat one of Oropo's demigods in a straight fight and proceed. However, Yugo and Amalia's arguments puts a crack in their relationship, and both feel very sullen upon leaving the room.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Black Bump is an underwear thief who treats his loot as sacred relics and is prone to bursts of maniacal laughter. Unfortunately, as Ush warned, there's also a very good reason why Oropo handpicked him to be the next Feca God.
  • Comically Missing the Point: When Bump explains that Ruel's slip will be added to the collection of the Top Ten Richest Men of the World of Twelve, Ruel is outraged to learn that he's only the seventh of the ten.
  • Continuity Nod: Again, a "Click" heard on the floor heralds a trap.
  • Everyone Has Standards: While Black Bump wants the underwear the heroes are wearing, he doesn't want Elely's, both because he's not a pervert to children (while fondling an exhibit perversely) but because she' a nobody as far as he's concerned.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Black Bump tries to crush Yugo and Amalia with the giant marble balls ejected in the arena and bouncing on the pillars, bumpers and his barrier. Ultimately Amalia uses her vines to redirect the balls so that they're dropped on the same spot of the floor, opening a massive crevasse that swallows Black Bump for a while.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: Black Bump comes back furious upon seeing that his cherished temple and collection were damaged, but unfortunately for him the same goes for Yugo, who saw Amalia being wounded by the balls.
  • Moment of Weakness: Since they reunited, Yugo has been painfully aware of both his feelings for Amalia and the impossibility of their relationship. This is why he considers the heartfelt kiss he gave to Amalia as a moment of weakness. Unfortunately, this greatly harms Amalia's feelings.
  • Mood Whiplash: The episode is a mix of wackiness and action. Then there's some heartwarming in the middle, where Amalia and Yugo finally kiss, catharsis as Yugo takes on and defeat Black Bump... and then we have Yugo and Amalia's argument over their relationship and feelings.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: Black Bump taking Ruel's boxers plays out as if he tore out his still-beating heart.
  • Noodle Incident: Black Bump claims to have already collected three pants for his exclusive Eliatrope Collection. However, it's not stated when or how he took then, nor who they belong to.
  • Panty Thief: Black Bump's raison d'être. His "explanation" is that underwear, being the most intimate piece of clothing, is akin to the "soul" of the owner, and thus to him the stolen panties are "souls" of the notorious people and warriors he obtained.
  • The Pig-Pen: Ruel claims that he inherited his slips from his grandfather 50 years ago and he hasn't changed them since he got them. Little wonder they pulsate in Black Bump's grip.
  • Pinball Zone: The entire Feca Room is essentially a giant pinball table: the opening tunnel even has a giant plunger to push people in, and once Black Bump summons the giant marbles, the room's pillars serves as bumpers to send the balls moving.
  • Pun: The original French title has a pun, as "flipper" is both the slang for "freak out" and the local name for the pinball.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: The crux between Yugo and Amalia: the latter doesn't care about his appearance or lifespan and is willing to be his lover, but Yugo feels tremendously insecure not only for his different life span and growth rate, but also because he perceives himself as a failure hero and king, unable to give Amalia what she wants or deserves.
  • Tempting Fate: Lampshaded when Amalia asks Ruel if he actually noticed that whenever he speculates on something, the opposite happens.
  • That Came Out Wrong: When Yugo claims that the kiss he gave to Amalia was a mistake.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Black Bump goes ballistic when he realizes that Amalia and Yugo's attack has damaged his collection.
  • Wham Shot: The final shot of the episode shows that Sadlygrove and Goultard have survived, but the former has his normal arm back, with Rubilax nowhere in sight.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: When Yugo calls the kiss a mistake and tries to explain why he feels he cannot be with Amalia, the latter calls him an egotist with no consideration for her feelings.
