Part One of the final tetralogy

While the Shushu prepares to invade, the heroes have come in sight of the Crimson Claws... only to find out that something is going on on the island. In fact, their ship encounters the massive submarine of the fleet of Steamers from New Sufokia, lead by Prince Adale, who tells them that their fleet is currently fighting a Dragon residing on the island and advises them to leave. Fearing the worst, Yugo is openly worried about the safety of his friends, and even if they swear to support him, he decides to go onward alone. He soon finds himself involved in the battle between the Sufokian fleet and Phaeris the Powerful, battle which is soon going to take a turn for the worst...

Tropes:

  • Animal Motifs: To underline the subaquatic theme of Sufokia, their steammarines resembles whales, while their steamers vaguely resembles sharks.
  • Beam Spam: How the New Sufokian fleet is trying to deal with Phaeris. With... mixed results. The only attack that actually gives Phaeris pause is a direct near-point-blank shot from the main cannon of Adale's flagship.
  • Big Damn Heroes: When Yugo is about to be attacked by General Moffette, Sadlygrove arrives and throws her away.
  • Boisterous Weakling: Black Ink, at least in this episode, angrily orders, twice, to aim the ships' (non-existent) cannons at the Steammarine emerged under them.
    Black Ink: AIM THE CANNONS!
Elaine: We don't have any, dad!
  • Boring, but Practical: Since they are stuck on a ship, Dally just turns on the Demonic Possession and swims all the way to Yugo.
  • Brick Joke: During the ending credits showing the invading Shushus, we see a barely-disguised Remington and Grany in the line.
  • Bridge Bunnies: While the army of New Sufokia seems to rely on male soldiers, all the women (except for General Moffette) have this role instead.
  • Cliffhanger: A massive red portals appears in the sky and Rushu descends on the island, ready to start his long-awaited invasion.
  • Continuity Nod: While he's telling his friends that he fears to lose them, Yugo mentions the Razor Time. Dally also has reminiscence after being sent flying by Moffette.
  • Demonic Possession: Turns out, Anathar managed to possess Adamai, turning him into an humongous, multiple-eyed white lizard monster that resembles a monstrous version of Adamai's adult form shown in Qilby's exposition on the Council of Six.
  • Establishing Character Moment: Phaeris the Powerful has been fighting back an invasion of a whole fleet of laser-spitting submarines and mini-mechas for a week, is still going and even warns the invaders to leave the island at once, showing how well-earned his title is.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Downplayed, in that he's not really disgusted or appalled, but nevertheless, Rushu openly admits that no matter how many times he thinks it through, he cannot understand why Qilby would let him invade the World of Twelve so easily and readily.
  • Face Fault: After spending the entire episode being serious, smug and composed, Adale has a sheer WTF expression on his face upon seeing Rushu descending from the sky.
  • Frontline General: General Moffette has quite a temper and is eager to lead the troops in battle with her steamer mecha.
  • Hell on Earth: In the final part of the episode, Rushu emerges from the portal in the sky, heralding the Shushu invasion.
  • MacGuffin Guardian: Phaeris is the keeper of the island and of Shinonome's Dofus, and given that he's fighting the army of a small nation over it we can say he does takes his work seriously.
  • Megaton Punch: Moffette's payback for Dally's previous attack has her punting him from the steammarine all the way to the island itself, embedding him in a cliff.
  • Mini-Mecha: The New Sufokian army comes with Steamers, mini-mechas used by the soldiers to fight and move underwater. General Moffette rides a customized, bigger one.
  • My Significance Sense Is Tingling: Not worded, but as soon as Rushu lands on the island, there's a cut to Goultard, somewhere in an icy land, opening his eyes and taking notice.
  • Oh, Crap!: Rubilax has one genuine moment of panic right before the portal to Shukrute opens and realizes what's going to happen.
Rubilax: They... they're coming! My brothers!!
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Phaeris first appears in "human" form, vaguely resembling a humanoid gargoyle with wings, only to turn into a a long, dark teal slender dragon with a long neck, a mane of hair and a tuff at the tip of his tail.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Invoked by Prince Adale, who's personally leading the attack on the Crimson Claws to show that he's not an idle monarch.
  • Screw the Rules, I Make Them!: When General Moffette tries to remind Adale that his father gave very specific orders about what to do with intruders (a.k.a. possibly kill or imprison them), Adale is content with warning them and telling them to leave.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Dally, once he catches up to Yugo, calls him out for abandoning them all even after they show how determined they were.
  • You Shall Not Pass!: Phaeris is adamant: Sufokia won't reclaim the archipelago and endanger the Dofus as long as he draws breath.
  • X-Ray Sparks: When General Moffette fires the stasis cannon on her mini-mecha at Sadlygrove/Rubilax point-blank, we sees the skeleton of his demonic-possessed form for several seconds.
