When raiding the Castle's mill to get food for the Meridianites, Caleb's friends are captured and brought to Elyon who hypnotizes them into signing a peace treaty to end the conflict. Much to Caleb's dismay as his now-brainwashed best friend Aldarn challenges him to battle for leadership of the rebellion.
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Aldarn and two rebels become this by Elyon who unknowingly hypnotizes them.
- Brainwashing for the Greater Good: Elyon unknowingly does this to the captured rebels to convince them of her genuinely good intentions to Meridian.
- For Happiness: Some of Elyon's plans for Meridian is to bring water to the fields and help the people to geneate electricity.
- Mind Controlled Eyes: Aldarn's become pale blue while hypnotized by Elyon.
- Peace Conference: Elyon genuinely wanted this between the throne and the rebellion but Phobos tricked them into going to sign into a field with giant larveks as a trap, while they failed to show up at the actual treaty in the castle, convincing Elyon that the rebellion never actually wanted peace and only cares about getting grain.
- Self-Serving Memory: Elyon when talking to the captured rebels, tells them that the Guardians may be the responsibles of the drought they have and shows flashbacks of each one of them (sans Will) using their powers to destroy their agriculture.
- The Power of Friendship: Caleb while fighting Aldarn, helps him which also breaks Elyon's hypnosis on him.
