Tori, Andre, Jade and Beck are selected to be the stars of "The Wood", a new reality show set at Hollywood Arts. After their fighting ends up injuring Festus, Trina and Robbie have to run the school's snack truck as punishment.

Tropes:

  • Big "NO!": Robbie after Trina reveals she tested the deep fat fryer on Rex's foot.
  • Bite of Affection: Invoked; Jade playfully snaps her teeth at Tori after admitting she's been snooping in Tori's room.
  • Blunt "No": One of the Wood's producers, Kyle, when Trina asks if she got a part in the show.
  • Brick Joke:
    • Trina shoves her arm under Beck's nose, claiming she's not wearing perfume so he's getting her natural scent. When the producer of "The Wood" tells Trina she didn't get a part in the show because she "reeks of desperation", Beck quips "That's her natural scent".
    • When Robbie is stabbed with a fork by Trina and complains to Beck, Beck is too busy with The Wood to help and half-heartedly tells him to poke her back. At the end of the scene, Robbie and Trina are shown fighting trying to stab each other with forks, and the camera crew shifts their focus to filming them, thinking it's hilarious.
  • Butt-Monkey: Festus plays the role in this episode. First, he gets his arm broken after intervening in Trina and Robbie's scuffle, then later Tori and Jade mistakenly smash his car with golf clubs because they thought it was a prop for their next sketch. Luckily for him though, the girls make it up to him personally in the end.
  • Cassandra Truth: Tori and Beck both point out the supposed phone conversation between them was two seperate conversations spliced together. Jade doesn't believe it, at least until the producers confirm it.
  • Cat Fight: Invoked by the producers about Tori and Jade.
Producer: Next time you two have a girl fight, can you call us first so we can get it on camera?
  • Death Glare: Jade gives one to a member of The Wood, Katie, when she promptly asks Beck in his interview if he has a girlfriend.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Jade is so convinced that the botched editing of the "phone call" between Tori and Beck on the show was real, whilst failing to realize that Tori was clearly having her phone call during the nighttime and Beck was clearly having his phone call during the daytime.
  • Fingore: Trina stabs Robbie in the hand with a fork. Beck, in the middle of filming, is unsympathetic and tells him to poke her back.
  • Funny Background Event: Trina and Robbie fighting while Beck is on camera.
  • Get Out!: After finding out that the producers of The Wood have been encouraging Tori and Jade's antics, which resulted in Festus's car being destroyed, Lane decides that enough is enough and throws them out of Hollywood Arts.
  • Irony: Trina didn't want to watch "The Wood" due to bitterness that she wasn't cast. She actually probably would've been on as her fight with Robbie was caught on camera due to the producers finding it hilarious.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Tori and Jade trashing a car they thought was from a junkyard that actually turns out to be Festus's car end up having to carry him to and from work in a wheelbarrow, as well as singing to him in Spanish in place of his car radio.
  • Long List: Jade's list of things she hates during her audition for The Wood.
Jade: Tuna fish, flowers, giggling, the word "panties", cilantro, rainbows, ducks...man, I hate ducks, cramps, string cheese, clocks, wet doorknobs, bras that hook in the front, the color yellow, carpeting...
  • Manipulative Editing: The Wood does this to make it seem as though Tori and Beck are having a flirtatious conversation on the phone.
  • Mistaken for Cheating: Thanks to some lousy editing, Jade is left believing Tori and Beck are dating behind her back.
  • No. Just... No: Happens instantly when Robbie auditions with Rex for The Wood.
    Robbie: Okay, I'm Robbie!
    Rex: And I'm Rex.
    Kyle: (immediately) Nope!
Robbie: Thank you for your time. (leaves sadly with Rex)
    Rex: Jerks!
  • Noodle Incident: Tori mentions the janitor at Hollywood Arts gave her a chocolate mop for Valentine's Day.
  • Oh, Crap!: Jade and Tori when they realise the car they were trashing actually belongs to Festus.
  • Out of Focus: Cat is nowhere to be seen throughout the whole episode.
  • Simple Solution Won't Work: When Tori has the hiccups, Mick jump scares her, claiming it gets rid of them. However, Tori hiccups right after, leaving him to remark that it only works sometimes.
  • Sore Loser: Trina flatly refuses to watch the premiere of The Wood with the others because she didn't get a part in it.
  • Totally Radical: When the producers film Tori at her house, they tell her to "be urban", leading her to overdo it.
Tori: Whuddup, whuddup? Chickity, chikity, check it out! You got T-Vega, that's Tori Vegadocious! Initials T-V on your TV!
    Kyle: Not that much fun.
    Tori:I was being urban.
    Mick: Yeah, not really.
  • Villainy-Free Villain: The Laugh Track cheers when The Wood producers are kicked off campus. Overall, they did nothing too bad. They falsely claimed Beck was having an affair with Tori without telling Jade ahead of time, but freely admit it when confronted and admit they're just trying to make a good show. According to them, everyone in their industry engages in the same practice. The four are fully willing to continue and even stir up more fake drama in an effort to drum up more ratings. The show was not coming in the way of their friendships or their schoolwork, and though they goaded them to destroy Festus' car after knowing the truth, it was only because they thought destroying the wrong car by accident made it way funnier.
  • We Want Our Jerk Back!: Having been driven mad by the demands of running the food truck, Trina and Robbie are overjoyed to see Festus back to work.
