Road Runner vs. Coyote: Bob acts as the Coyote to the Dust Bunny's Road Runner, in an attempt to retrieve his sock. It's subverted at the end of the episode when the Dust Bunny returns Bob's sock.
Shout-Out: The song that Larry sings about being a "cool cucumber" sounds a little like the "Greased Lightning" song from Grease.
Also, when Bob is stalking towards the Dust Bunny, he tells it, "I have you now."
Slow "NO!": Jimmy and Jerry both give off one of these when Larry decides to throw away his shades and abandon being cool in favor of helping Junior and Laura.
Status Quo Is God: After Larry decides not to be cool anymore, Jimmy and Jerry also decide to abandon being cool as well, so that they can join Larry, Junior, and Laura in playing a nice friendly game of catch.

Greed: Larry ends up falling victim to this, after getting every comic book in the world ever written. Unfortunately, when he's about to read them, he realizes that they were just phonies that have been fabricated by Ichabeezer to teach him a lesson for being greedy with comic books like he is with money.
Rapid-Fire "No!": Ichabeezer gives one of these to Larry, in response to Larry asking him to donate money to the library.
Reactive Continuous Scream: Happens between Larry and Archibald, after Larry has been badmouthing Archibald, not realizing that he was standing right behind him.
Right Behind Me: Larry goes on to talk about how Archibald dresses so badly and how old he looks, not realizing that Archibald is standing right behind him.
Skyward Scream: Larry screams out "DOOMED!" after saying that if they don't get comics soon, then the library is doomed.
