Go To

Rock Friend or also called "A Rock Friend Indeed" is the 7th episode of Cartoon Network's Unikitty!

Tropes

  • Animate Inanimate Object: Rock Guy turned out to be alive all along. He can freely move on his own, he can communicate with Puppycorn, Unikitty and Hawkodile and he used Hawkodile at the end to trip Friend Guy.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Unikitty and Puppycorn agreeing to hang out more often in exchange for Puppycorn abandoning Friend Guy and even hugging out on top of Friend Guy.
  • Big Bad: Friend Guy.
  • Companion Cube: Rock Guy!
  • Create Your Own Villain: Puppycorn who created Friend Guy.
  • Death by Materialism: How Friend Guy meets his demise.
  • Easily Forgiven:
    • Puppycorn for stealing the rest of the main cast's body parts to create Friend Guy.
    • Unikitty by Rock Guy for trapping him in the closet and separating him from Puppycorn, as Rock Guy donned a pirate disguise just to keep up with Unikitty's lies that he left to go live as a pirate.
  • Fallen Hero: The part of Friend Guy that's making him sentient is the left half of Richard.
  • Greed: Friend Guy goes from simply being Puppycorn's friend to an absolute monster who enjoys collecting people and things to add to his body.
  • It's All My Fault: After Unikitty and Puppycorn get forcibly attached (by the horns) to Friend Guy who "collects" them as part of his growing body, brother and sister take responsibility for their predicament (while trying to acquit the other sibling of any wrongdoing) with Puppycorn admitting he shouldn't have created Friend Guy in the first place while Unikitty admits she should have filled in the gap for Puppycorn's loneliness so that he didn't make Friend Guy.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: While Puppycorn stealing Unikitty's tail to construct Friend Guy might be uncalled for, it is definitely karma for Unikitty for first refusing to play with Puppycorn and only wanting to choose the kingdom's Ice Cream Flavor for the month and second for taking away Rock Guy.
  • Oh, Crap!: Unikitty and Puppycorn when Friend Guy tries snatching the former and adding her to his body.
  • Shout-Out: Friend Guy's growing form is similar to that of Katamari.
  • Skewed Priorities: Unikitty thinks choosing the Ice Cream Flavor of the Month is more important than playing with Puppycorn.
  • Turned Against Their Masters: Friend Guy's intentions go from pleasing/satisfying Puppycorn to absorbing as much material goods and people as he can, including Puppycorn himself.
