Episode Tropes

  • Ambiguous Situation: Celebro, inhabiting the body of a GAFJ official, comes into contact with Director Kuriyama and seems to be plotting some sort of scheme. Later on, Kuriyama becomes more and more unpleasant and even has STORAGE straight-up disbanded, which is pretty beneficial and cathartic to Celebro, furthermore by the end he no longer has his signature stomach-aches that he showed even at the beginning of the episode, whether Celebro possessed him or is influencing him in some way is unknown.
  • Continuity Nod: Juggler knows of Kelbim's existence. In fact, an episode of Ultraman Orb had him using Kelbim's Kaiju Card to dispose a rogue Alien Babalou.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Hebikura is understandably upset with the fact GAFJ planning to use the D4 Ray considering it's power source comes from that of an interdimensional being who controls powerful terrible-monsters and it's hammered down when he outright rejects Kuriyama's to use it on King Joe's Pedanium cannon.
  • Everyone Has Standards: All of STORAGE disagree (including ''Juggler'', see above) with Kuriyama's call to use the D4, even if it ended with them being disbanded.
  • Four Is Death: The superweapon D4 is basically several times worse than the two nuclear bombs that bombed Japan before, as it leaked and potentially breaking the very fabric of dimension itself.
  • Humans Are the Real Monsters: The trope comes into full circle from the previous episode to the point it has become an underlying theme for the series' endgame arc. In this case, the fact GAFJ created the D4 Ray using Baraba's horn as a template and Kuriyama giving the order to open fire through King Joe even when Hebikura refuses to do so without knowing the severity of the damage revealing humanity in its absolute worst rearing on its ugly head in this episode. Even Hebikura/Juggler himself starts to view Kuriyama's actions this way so much he glares at him with contempt.
  • Nothing Is the Same Anymore: STORAGE is officially and forcefully disbanded by Kuriyama.
  • Wham Episode: STORAGE is disbanded under Director Kuriyama's orders, following his anger at them defying his orders of using D4's power to take out the Kelbim swarm.
