Adaptational Badass: In the original Beast Wars series, the Maximals and Predacons were much smaller than the G1 Transformers and wouldn't stand a chance against them in battle. Here, they are not only at least just as big as their vehicle-mode counterparts but also can put up a good fight.
All Your Base Are Belong to Us: The Maximals first considered eradicating the Autobots then take their ship and strip it down for parts and plunder its Energon supplies. To their disappointment, there is scarcely any - so they merely ally with the Autobots to finally end the war against the Predacons.
I Did What I Had to Do: Optimus Prime uses these very words to defend himself against Primal's accusations of treachery and abandoning Cybertron just to "gallivant" through the stars.
"The Reason You Suck" Speech: Optimus Primal gives one to Optimus Prime (albeit with some inaccuracies) explaining that Prime's decision to take the AllSpark off Cybertron led to all Transformers fleeing their dead world Cybertron and so the Maximals have been fighting a losing war against the Predacons where most of them have since perished. Primal even tells Prime off that the Autobots crash landing in the Ark cost the Maximals their victory in ending and winning the war.
