The campers have to take a wild greased pig though an obstacle course. Leonard's claim to be a wizard continues to infuriate Dave. Jasmine encourages Samey to stand up for herself.
Tropes:
- Chirping Crickets: Jasmine jokingly warns Samey not to let her hand swell up into a wicket-keeper's glove. Neither Samey nor Shawn know how to respond to this and let the crickets play their tune in the background. The joke has an extra layer to it because, as Jasmine points out, she made a joke about the sport cricket.
- Clap Your Hands If You Believe: Leonard argues that his spells aren't working because *someone* on his team does not believe in them. Dave readily steps forward to say he's the unbeliever and to order Leonard to get his task done the normal way.
- Faint in Shock: Sugar is shaken to her core that her team voted off the wizard Leonard. She dramatically walks forward with her arm held over her forehead and then goes down.
- Freak Out: Dave has one when he's covered in grease.
- Dave: (panics) AAHH! I NEED HAND SANITIZER! AND SANDPAPER FOR SCRUBBING!!!
- Got Volunteered: Amy offers Jasmine a helping hand foraging for food. Only it's not her own hand she offers, but Samey's.
- Gratuitous Spanish: Shawn mentions that the manchineel fruit is called "manzanilla de la muerte" in spanish.
- Human Shield: Amy holds Samey in front of her when the pig of the Pimâpotew Kinosewak, made evil by Max's helmet, slings grease at them.
- Karma Houdini: Sugar could be seen as this. Part of the reason why the Maskwak lost the challenge was because of Sugar's idea of choosing Leonard to climb the greasy wall while carrying the pig, however, she's wasn't even at the bottom two at the elimination ceremony.
- Kick the Dog: Once again, every single interaction Amy has with Samey.
- The Load: Leonard acts as the load to Team Maskwak, and this leads directly to his elimination.
- Magical Incantation: Leonard tries to get his team's pig to levitate over the final obstacle with the Latin-ified English line: "Piggus Levitatus This Instantus." It doesn't work.
- Misplaced Vegetation: Oddities in the flora on Pahkitew Island is one of several clues that the island is not natural. Jasmine is confused to spot a Chinese mulberry bush and a manchineel tree among the island's vegetation.
- Only Sane Man: Dave and Sky fill this role for the Maskwak. Dave is understandably frustrated with his teammates quirks, or overall stupidity, and Sky takes a more pragmatic attitude, stating in the confessional that if her team keeps losing challenges, she can't reach the final.
- Over-the-Shoulder Carry: Leonard tries to cast a time reversal spell when he learns that he's been eliminated. Neither Chris nor Chef are fans of his wizard shtick and don't like campers that try to fight their elimination, so Chef throws Leonard over his shoulder and carries him over to the Cannon of Shame.
- Pet the Dog:
- Sugar insisting that Leonard becomes the last person to do the relay for the Maskwak.
- Jasmine continuously trying to get Samey to stand up for herself.
- Sugar being extremely caring to the greased pig, which is odd considering her behaviour towards animals later in the season.
- Ship Tease: Jasmine and Shawn. Sky and Dave is also hinted here.
- Shout-Out: The music that plays when Max is warming up for his challenge is "The Blue Danube" by Johann Strauss II.
- Teacher's Pet: Topher begins to be one for Chris throughout the episode.
- Title Drop: Sugar shouts "I Love You, Grease Pig!" after it comes to Ella when she sings.
- Two Words: Obvious Trope: Sugar shouts about Leonard, "Two words! Wiz-ard!"
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Leonard gets the boot without really developing his personality beyond "delusional LARPer".
