Recap / Time Stop Brave Ch 37 Past and Stop

Go To

Sekai suddenly wakes up back in the present with Niña and Fury standing over him, and his injuries and the sword he got from the dungeon are gone. He freaks out because he just died, then demands an explanation from Shinra. Shinra says he wasn't supposed to die, so he is getting another chance. Esther asks what is wrong, and he yells at her for shooting him with an arrow in the past. She has no idea what he is talking about, and he angrily freezes time to strip her and pinch her nipples. He returns her clothes and unfreezes time, then she says she can tell he did something to her, making him comment to himself that she is just like Fury.

He tells them what happened and Fury says if the elves attacked him on sight, then that means he arrived during the village's isolationist period. Esther bitterly says when they ended that period and welcomed strangers, that was when the village was destroyed. Fury and Esther then say they have no memory of meeting Sekai in the past. Appearing in front of Shinra after completing the Ordeal fits the legend, but how can he be here if he died? He muses that respawning is a common video game trope. He says he will complete the Ordeal once again. Worried, Fury asks how he will get home if he doesn't die. He shrugs and says he will figure it out.

He freezes time and enters the dungeon inside Shinra, finding that it has "reset" so everything is exactly the same as the first time he entered. He gets past the puzzles and monsters, ending with defeating the final giant spider and getting the treasure chest with the sword again. Like before, picking up the sword warps him to the past. He immediately freezes time and hides, saying he's not going through being attacked again. He reaches Shinra and unfreezes time. Shinra says he completed the Ordeal, and now he must go on an adventure in this world. He asks why it brought him here, and it says the Brave is supposed to appear here. Annoyed, he realizes he won't get a straight answer.

He finds the past Fury, shows her the sword, and introduces himself, but she immediately calls for help. He freezes time, and when he unfreezes it, Fury finds herself tied up and with a ball gag in her mouth. As she struggles, he muses that this is like what happened the first time they met. He tells her to listen to him because they are friends. He then instinctively gropes her breasts, really pissing her off as he regrets doing that and thinking he blew it.

Suddenly, a little dark elf girl who looks like a younger Fury walks up and asks her sister what is going on. Shocked, he remembers the time Fury talked about how some people raped and murdered her. Sekai declares he knows what his mission is. He promises the two confused girls that he will protect the village and he won't let the child die.

Note: The Japanese version includes shikishi cards: one of Fury and Niña, one of Hime and Flandre from Princess Resurrection, and one of Fury and Sekai.
