Clay tells his parents that he did send a message to Bryce the night of his murder but that he had nothing to do with it. Everyone's parents start to ask their kids questions about where they were the night Bryce was killed. Jessica's dad is told that Jessica was in bed all night however Jessica had told Ani that she was with Justin all night. Zach claims that he was with a friend. Monty says he stayed at Charlie's that night and Alex tells his dad that he was with Jessica.

Tyler realises there's a strong chance one of his friends may go to prison so he overs to tell the police about his assault at the hands of Monty. This is something Bryce knew about so would give Monty a motive to kill him. Clay however tells him not to tell anyone until he is ready. Later on, Tyler confides in Jessica that he's not actually an assault ally but a victim to it too. Tyler shows her a video made before his attempted shooting which details what happened to him. Jessica confronts Monty with the information and warns him that she is very dangerous.

Flashback. Tyler shows Bryce the same video he has just shown Jessica.

Present Day. Principal Bolan holds an assembly which will also have the school's football team in attendance. He tells Jessica she is to make a public apology and if she doesn't, she will be removed as the school body president.

Flashback. Jessica is angry that the principal has not cancelled the homecoming game. She decides to show her activist group's message in a public way at the game.

Bryce asks Jessica to meet him at the docks before the homecoming game happens as he has something he wants to give her. He confronts Monty about what he did to Tyler. He threatens Monty to stay away from Tyler as what he did was not hazing, it was actually rape. He tells him if he goes near him again, he will tell the police what happened as well as all the threats he made against the other students involved in the trial.

The night of homecoming shows Jessica and her club preparing for their public message. During the game, the group run out on to the field and begin a protest. They remove their clothes and reveal red handprints painted on their bodies. A football player from Hillcrest runs up behind Jessica and grabs her boobs, sparking a massive brawl between Hillcrest and Liberty High's players as well as other students in the school.

Present Day. Clay panics as he finds out the police have searched his search history on his computer. He goes to Tony and explains that he had been writing fanfiction and one of his searches was 'how to kill a character' thus placing more suspicion on him. He asks Tony if he can help him disappear.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Declaration of Protection: Bryce does this towards Tyler, to the point that he threatens Monty that he'll tell the police about every horrible thing he's done if he ever goes near Tyler again.
Monty: What, you're gonna teach me about what rape is? Like what you did to a dozen girls at this school?
Bryce: No, I'm not gonna teach you anything. I'm just gonna tell you this; you're gonna stay the fuck away from Tyler. You're not gonna touch him, you're not gonna look at him, anything. You have a class with him? Transfer. Pass him in the halls? Take a different hall. I'm gonna check in with him every week to see how he’s doing. If I hear one fucking thing about you, if I hear that you even looked in his direction, then the cops find out about Tony's car... about the gun you gave Alex... about the time you tried to kill Clay... they get everything.
  • If You Ever Do Anything To Hurt Him: While confronting Monty, Bryce tells him that if he even so much as looks in Tyler's general direction again, he'll go to the cops not just about Monty's rape of Tyler, but everything he did over the course of the series.
  • Oh, Crap!: Monty has a subtle one when Bryce threatens to go to the police should he ever go near Tyler again.
  • Smug Snake: This is Monty's disposition when Bryce confronts him about raping Tyler. That quickly vanishes when Bryce threatens to tell the cops about everything he's done throughout the series.
