Kevin is ready to graduate from junior high and go to a new school, especially since he and Winnie will be going to the same school again, but Winnie breaks the news that Kevin was not given, that Paul will be attending prep school. Kevin does not like that Paul will not be going to the same school as him, especially since Paul chose to go to prep school, and the two get into a fight. On the day of graduation, while on a walk, Kevin finds a pregnant Mrs. Heimer in her car. As he sits in the car with her, her water breaks, and Kevin, despite not being 16 yet, has to drive her to the hospital. At graduation, Kevin and Paul make up, and Paul points out that next year, they'll be getting their drivers' licenses.

- Put on a Bus: This episode marks the final appearance of Becky Slater, Doug Porter, Mrs. Heimer, Mr. Cantwell, and Mr. Cutlip. With the teachers, it makes sense that they would not all suddenly transfer to the senior high school that Kevin will attend, but Cutlip reveals that he has accepted a coaching job at another school in Indianapolis.
