Zack and Cody discover that their Swedish ancestors are ostracized. Meanwhile, Marcus and Moseby get stuck at a Swedish furniture store.

- Idiot Ball: The mayor pulls the classic one of not destroying the evidence he knows will incriminate him. He doesn't even rip out the individual page incriminating him if the book was priceless due to its age.
- Laser-Guided Karma: The mayor's career is ruined after the revelation that he lied to get to where he is.
- National Stereotypes: The Swedes are not portrayed as particularly intelligent, still believing the Earth is flat and the mayor's daughter is a stereotypical Dumb Blonde.
- Sins of the Father: Zack and Cody get pelted with fish for something that their ancestors did that they weren't aware of. Justified with the mayor, who knew the truth and deliberately hid it to boost his own career.
