Bubbles feels that the Professor purposefully ignores her since he always spends time with Blossom and Buttercup. When a favored artist of Bubbles, Zeit Geist, comes to town for an art show. She decides to use the roadtrip to spend some quality time with the Professor.
Tropes:
- Came Back Wrong: After Buttercup accidentally eye-beams Schedule-Bot 2.0. Blossom tries to fix him up only to make him rather horrendous looking and a bit crazy. Buttercup knocks it out with a shovel and buries it in the yard.
- Chekhov's Gun: The goldfish novelty flashlight Bubbles finds at the Bottomless Pit Gift Shop. The Professor buys a matching pair for them and it turns out to be the radioactive Mole Men's weakness.
- Fauxlosophic Narration: Throughout the episode, Bubbles gives a melodramatic narration of her thoughts and feelings as events take place.
- Flat "What": The Professor does this when Bubbles accuses him of trying to get rid of her.
- Imagine Spot: Bubbles has one in which the Professor leaves her at a waffle-based roadside attraction where she will have to fend for herself.
- Like a Surgeon: As Blossom is trying to fix Schedule Bot 2.0, she has Buttercup hand her tools like she’s a surgeon including a wrench, wire cutters, and, lastly, a piece of licorice.
- Mole Men: A batch of radioactive ones attack the art show when Zeit Geist reveals that the material she used could be full of them.
- Improperly Paranoid: Bubbles thinks her relationship with the Professor is so bad that he’s plotting to take her out to the middle of nowhere and abandon her. This, of course, couldn’t be farther from the truth.
- Poor Communication Kills: On both the Professor and Bubbles' parts. The former for at least not talking with Bubbles and only revealing he was studying about Zeit Geist's art to impress her until they were in danger and the latter for assuming he was trying to get rid of her rather than just trying to tell him her concerns about their relationship.
- Punch! Punch! Punch! Uh Oh...: Bubbles attempts to attack one of the Mole Men when they attack the art gallery, but her attacks have no effect and it simply punches her into a wall.
- Rage Breaking Point: After Bubbles thinks the Professor is trying to abandon her, she gets angrier and angrier at the thought of it. Seeing Zeit Geist new sculpture, a father and daughter, doesn't help and a comment from one of the onlookers about having a good relationship with her father turns out to be the last straw.
- Road Trip Plot: Bubbles and the Professor take a road trip to see the exhibition of her favorite artist, Zeit Geist.
- Smash Cut: At the start of the road trip, Bubbles exclaims how fun the trip is going to be. It then cuts to the two of them sitting in bored silence.
- The Un-Favorite: Bubbles thinks she is this because doesn’t have anything that she bonds with the Professor over like her sisters do.
- Weaksauce Weakness: The Mole Men are destroyed by simple flashlights since them being from underground means they have an aversion to light.
